Whistle Stop RV Resort, Abilene, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great Wifi and cable. New still under construction. Very clean park overall. Roads and grounds are very dusty (white cliché roads). Restroom shower facilities have no hooks to hang your clothes. Appears to have several permanent residents. Hookups were easy and well spaced. Likely one of the best RV parks in Abilene based on other parks we observed. We camped at Whistle Stop RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Overpriced. Relatively small narrow spaces. Spotty internet-comes and goes. Roaches in ladies bathroom-may be temporary problem-don't know. No river access unless you are in $70+ river site. No refund if dissatisfied and want to leave early which is stressed when you sign in (after they have your money). Sewer connections are located in bad area for each site-your neighbor's connection seems like it is right outside your front door. Did I mention "overpriced"? Park personnel are friendly and park was well kept (other than roaches mentioned above). Good cable TV service. Needless to say not our favorite park in Durango area. We camped at Durango Riverside Resort & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Morefield Campground (NPS), Mesa Verde National Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in one of 15 full hookup sites (200+ dry camping sites available. Full hookup sites are large and relatively private. Plenty of wildlife all around site. Great place to stay to see Mesa Verde park. Adequate Wifi available at campground headquarters - no cable TV or cell phone availability in park. If you stay in the park on Sunday, do not miss Christian nondenominational service held at amphitheater. Ranger programs held in amphitheater at 9pm nightly are very good. We camped at Morefield Campground (NPS) in a Travel Trailer.

Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park), Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Nice well maintained park. Close to downtown Santa Fe (relatively speaking to other parks). Pricy, but so is everything else in Santa Fe. Friendly staff is very helpful in parking your rig and identifying things to do in Santa Fe. Wifi was very good. TV cable was not clear and crisp although workable. Spaces are relatively small. Buss route stops in front of park. We stayed two nights and would definitely stay again. We camped at Trailer Ranch RV Park (55+ Park) in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Amarillo RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2012 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The Park is well maintained. Wifi & tv cable work great. Easy in and out. Site hookups are well laid out and defined by 3' fence around each site. Park was quiet. Will definitely stay here again. Pool appears to be nice. Rate is reasonable considering other options. We camped at Fort Amarillo RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Has to be one of best maintained RV parks in Northern NM. All things RV park related are top notch. Staff is extremely customer oriented. Spaces are large. We had to leave early due to family illness and park staff worked with us to accommodate our needs. We will make a point to stay here in the future anytime we are in the Northern NM area. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Circle B RV Park, Ruidoso, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent wireless connections, very good cable reception, paved roads throughout park, very quiet, very friendly/helpful staff staff. Staff goes above and beyond helping you park. Out of mainstream Ruidoso, but still convenient access to points of interest. We stayed here three nights. We camped at Circle B RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated), Grand Canyon National Park, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Only full hookups within Grand Canyon Park. Hookup are fine except sewer connection is too high on most campsites. Cable TV works very good. No internet. Park crowded. Park needs to be weeded very badly as it is overgrown with weeds. We camped at Trailer Village (Concessionnaire Operated) in a Travel Trailer.

Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Major compliant is mosquitoes overtake the place (however this is Yellowstone and to be expected I assume). This is the only full hook-up facility in Yellowstone and meets those requirements although sewer connection was relatively high for most RVs. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Well maintained. (Watch for tree sap: it will be all over your RV and tow vehicle.) Cable TV and internet was very good (although internet was unavailable one night). Laundromat services were very good. We stayed two nights. Would definitely stay again. We camped at Deer Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Chris' Camp, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Narrow Sites. Poor internet reception. Cable comes and goes. Many pull-through spaces are not accessible and you must back into them. Friendly and helpful staff. We may have just caught them at an unfortunate time based on other reviews of the park which were very complimentary. However we were disappointed. We camped at Chris' Camp in a Travel Trailer.
