Overall Rating:
Super nice owners. Easy access to Lava Beds. The owners will give you a map of the local things to see. We had to leave a day early and they were totally accommodating. Quiet, grassy, not many trees, but consistent breeze. We camped at Eagle's Nest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Hume Lake Campground, Hume, California
Date of Stay:
June, 2013 -
$24.00
Overall Rating:
Awesome. Shady sites, easy walk to lake. We were able to swim in the lake in June; it wasn't too cold. This campsite is not part of the National Park system. It's in the National Forest, but you have to go through the park. This makes for easy access to the park, but there is plenty to do around the site as well. Especially for bikes because you're allowed to ride bikes on trails in a national forest. We will definitely come back. We camped at Hume Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice owners. The road to our site was steep, but the sites themselves are level. Free Wi-Fi, accessible from the rig. Several miles from the main road, but it made for a quiet evening. We would stay here again. We camped at Timberlake Campground & RV in a Motorhome.

Very clean park. Nice staff, very pleasant and helpful. You need to take your trash out due to bear activity. Waterfront sites did not have sewer but the lake is steps away from the site. Definitely would stay here again. We camped at Cottonwood RV Park in a Motorhome.

We were in a 31ft RV with a truck. Staff was helpful when we had a problem with the water. Our Wi-Fi worked. Spots were a little close together and only a handful of sites had a river view. We'd stay here again. We camped at River's Edge Resort in a Motorhome.

Sourdough Campground, Tok, Alaska
Date of Stay:
July, 2011 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
Drove a 31ft RV plus a tow, we had a pull through site so it was a bit more. A bunch of potholes with rain but drivable. Evening show was fun and they do a pancake throwing contest, fun too. Washers and dryers were poor, do your laundry somewhere else. We camped at Sourdough Campground in a Motorhome.

Bailey's Hot Springs, Beatty, Nevada
Date of Stay:
April, 2011 -
$20.00
Overall Rating:
Not your average stop over. Right off the road but there are 3 private hot springs. There are three different temperatures and you get a key for 20 minutes. When you are done you can check it out again if no one is waiting. Definitely would stay here again. A bit noisy near the road and not a great camping type site but the hot springs make up for all of it. We camped at Bailey's Hot Springs in a Motorhome.
