Mount Rushmore KOA, Hill City, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

The amenities at this KOA are awesome. This is one of those campgrounds that you can go to and never leave because of all the things they have to offer, good restaurant, coffee shop, wine shop, bar, pizza and ice cream parlor, horse back riding, UTV rentals on site, etc. I could go on and on. The staff has this park running like a top, one staff member was a little grouchy but one person could not sway my opinion. The sites are a little tight, they definitely pack them in. The proximity to all the attractions in the black hills is perfect, and the views are breath taking. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to anyone going to the black hills. We camped at Mount Rushmore KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Sioux Falls, Brandon, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $76.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a couple days while on our way to Hill City and the Mt Rushmore area. The staff was very nice (young kids) and very accommodating even though we had no reservations. The sites were decent size and grassy, it was very comfortable. Theres a lot of activities for the kids, the play grounds and jump were awesome. They even had a dog run which was big and clean, my dog loved the run everyday. There is more pros than cons, but the only negative are (not major) you are right off the highway so there is highway noise, and the one bath house is immaculate while the other needs updating. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone due to the ease off the highway, proximity to Sioux falls, and the really nice staff. We camped at Jellystone Park Camp Resort at Sioux Falls in a Travel Trailer.

Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

When we arrived I was so disappointed with the tight campsites, also the site we were placed was pretty much in the entrance and next to the busy pool, I just knew I was going to be mad the whole week. But by day two I felt this was one of the best campgrounds in the smokeys and suited our needs perfectly! The staff was awesome, the facilities were clean, and proximity to everything was perfect. The bus stop to Dollywood or Gatlinburg are right there, a park (Patriot Park) and food (Old Mill), the strip, the river are all within walking distance, and finally a dog friendly park. The smokey mountains is a very popular place and so from what I noticed all campgrounds are tight. But what sets this place apart are everything I mentioned, no need to look elsewhere. I am not easily impressed but I was pleasantly surprised and after my initial feelings about this place, I'll admit I was totally wrong. We camped at Pigeon Forge / Gatlinburg KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Duck Creek RV Resort, Muskegon, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2014 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent place to stay. I think it's definitely a "resort" more so than "campground" because of the really nice amenities, pool, hot tub, club house, and perfect shower house, etc. The staff was very helpful, they will deliver firewood, ice to your site and they pick up trash. The only reason I didn't give it a ten was because there's really no camp store, no shade trees, nightly rate was steep, and it would be nice to have transportation to Michigan adventure. But those are personal preferences and would not stop me from staying here in the future. We camped at Duck Creek RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Milton/Madison SE KOA (formerly Hidden Valley RV Resort & Campground), Milton, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

Has to be one of the nicest campgrounds in the country! This is a kid, family, dog friendly campground. The staff was excellent, everyone I spoke with was very helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The pool was not open because of damage caused by the rough winter we had in the Midwest, that was the only negative. But it was carnival weekend so there was a lot to do for the kids. Before we left my children were asking if we can come back soon and so we will definitely be back. We camped at Milton/Madison SE KOA (formerly Hidden Valley RV Resort & Campground) in a Travel Trailer.
