Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground), Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were very narrow. No room for a picnic table. We stepped out our door almost directly on the next site's utilities. Workers' trucks are parked everywhere so it made it difficult to move around. We camped at Red Desert Rose Campground (formerly RV World Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Wolf Lodge Campground, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

They advertise a dump station in Good Sam but there is none there. Their answer is for you to go to a vacant full hook up site and use the dump. A recent Good Sam review said they charge $5 for this. Since we left early in the morning, and all sites were full, that was not an option. The sites are tight and close together. Awnings were close to touching the next trailer's slide out. They advertise pull through sites as being 70 feet long and back-ins at 40. The majority of of the sites are way shorter than that. When we left we had to ask 2 campers to move in order to get our trailer out. The best thing for them is the wonderful staff. I would not return there. We camped at Wolf Lodge Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountain Home RV Park, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful park with very clean restrooms and showers. Shady spaces with lots of room. Can't say enough good things about the park. The rate is for a weekly charge. We camped at Mountain Home RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Running Bear, Mountain Home, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very run down and dirty. The buildings are falling apart. Broken boards in the deck, doors falling off, etc. Dirt and dust covered the walls in the laundry room and the windows were filthy, full of bugs and debris. The window sill in the TV room was also covered with bugs and cobwebs. The pool was so dirty we would not get in, although there were people swimming. The campground is at a beautiful spot and could be very nice but needs major repairs and cleanup. Our picnic table was covered in bird droppings and we had to scrub it ourselves. The 3 mile gravel road to it makes it worse. By the time you get there your rig is covered in dust and they will not let you wash it. We camped at Fort Running Bear in a Travel Trailer.

Southern Gates RV Park & Campground, Arabi, Georgia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This park has new owners. They are very friendly and working hard to clean up the park. Easy off and on I75 but no road noise. Great place for an overnight or quiet stay. Shopping is 10 miles north. We came in early but there was no problem and allowed my son to visit us for free. We will come again. We camped at Southern Gates RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Penn Lake Park Campground, Marathon, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Pretty park. Web Site shows cable tv. Was not able to get any stations at all. We bought a new cable and still nothing. Expensive for what they offer. One utility pole for 2 sites so can be hard to hook up. Make sure you have extension cords. We took a pull through and pulled in the right direction for the utilities. Busy campground with road workers. We camped at Penn Lake Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Peace River RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails), Wauchula, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

This park is looking rundown. They need to do a lot of maintenance and TLC. There are very few sites with tables. One man requested a table, and they refused to move one to his site. There were several in a pile in one corner of the park. They had swept debris into a pile in the office, and it was there 2 days running. I did not look on the 3rd day, so I don't know how long it stayed there. Showers are very tiny, and they need additional ones, as well as more laundry facilities. This is our first time with Thousand Trails and now wonder if it was worth it. We camped at Peace River RV & Camping Resort (Thousand Trails) in a Travel Trailer.

Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park, Glendale, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is an OK park. Close, dusty sites. Dumpster was full for days and the smell was very bad. Stayed here to go to Zion and Bryce, but next time would stay in parks closer as it was a longer drive than realized. Nothing in the immediate area, including groceries and gas. We camped at Bauer's Canyon Ranch RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park, Springdale, Utah

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are very small and tight getting around. Expensive but close to Zion so they jack the prices up. If your site is across from the restrooms and playground you will have people cutting through all day and evening. Having to get the tokens for showers were annoying. We camped at Zion Canyon Campground & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs, Silver Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

The bath house floors and toilets needs to be thoroughly cleaned. The same bugs and cobwebs were on the floor for several days. The pool was never vacuumed and had piles of debris throughout. The pool needs work and resurfacing. The sites are very nice and the grounds are well kept. This could be a great campground with some work. We camped at Wilderness RV Resorts at Silver Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Ozark RV Park, Ozark, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is ok for overnight. The RV sites are at the back of the park in a large open area and close together with no shade. The restrooms needed some cleaning. This was the second park in Springfield we tried. We camped at Ozark RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

I-80 Lakeside Campground (formerly Lakeside Camping), North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

The park needs some work. Bathrooms were okay, but needed to be swept and cleaned better. Large bugs running around in the shower. Open field camping, okay for overnight stay. This is a Passport America rate. We camped at I-80 Lakeside Campground (formerly Lakeside Camping) in a Travel Trailer.

Elk Creek Lodge and Resort, Piedmont, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Needs a lot of TLC. Although they advertise 161 sites there are only 26 with electric and water and they are too close together. There were 2 portable toilets sitting in an open field where the rest of the sites were located. I assume they were there for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in August but a very disgusting sight to see in an RV park. It is definitely not a resort. The women's room looked reasonably clean but it took a couple of days to clean the men's room. I would not return here again. There are too many RV parks in the area. We camped at Elk Creek Lodge and Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This price includes Good Sam discount and we did not get a site near the river. The last review here quoted $31 for a night in July 2011. When I questioned the woman about the difference she said she had no idea where that rate had come from. Their rates were $50 a night in July. She made reference to their rooms in the motel at $70 a night. At that rate I could have stayed there for more private facilities. The campground is nice and bathrooms and showers were clean but for that price I would rather go on down the road. A lot of other RV'ers must feel the same way as only 7 RVs stopped for the night. Maybe a drop in prices would bring in more RV'ers. We camped at The Longhorn Ranch Lodge & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
