I was very happy with the quiet, rustic feel of this campground that has all the amenities and very friendly staff. The bathrooms/showers are kept nicely and the campground is almost part of Acadia National Park (most of the National Park is around it). The free shuttle bus provides an alternative to driving to many of the places to see in the area. I would definitely recommend it (pet friendly too).

This is a lovely campground as long as you do not want any electronic connection (no TV, internet, poor cell phone reception) to the outside world. The campsites are lovely; bathrooms/showers kept clean. I was there before 'season' so the rate was great.

Date of Stay:

The bathroom/shower facilities are extremely poor with no locks on a 'unisex' shower/commode. It is a small park trying to 'fix' a bad reputation but needs to be more 'camper friendly' for business to increase.

A large park with a nice swimming pool and all the amenities. (Water, electricity, sewer, cable TV and internet.) At Passport America rates, I decided to stay five nights and that includes the Holiday weekend.

At the Passport rate, it was a steal! It is a lovely place with two pools and a lake too. I was in the shade. Will return again even though my internet signal was not so great.

I stayed in this park for two nights and would return. The owner/manager is courteous. Not all the sites have shade. The pool and other amenities are good. My rate was with Good Sam discount.

I stayed in this park for three nights (P.A. rate of $20/night) and was right on the river. I feel the people are extremely nice and would give higher ratings if I had TV and/or internet included in fee. No cable with little or no 'over the air' TV would make the rating much higher. Bathrooms/showers are clean with hot water and free. I would certainly return.

The park is a mostly 'seasonal' park and the sites for 'overnighters' are interesting. The big rig, pull-through sites are big and you are definitely 'self contained' since the bathrooms/showers are not close. The few sites near the lodge where the facilities are located (and the pool) are on grass. The biggest concern is the bathroom which is not kept as clean as it could be and the water pressure varies. Showers are pay for use and the temperature is more on the cool side. It is OK for a couple of nights.

This marina based RV park is right on the entrance to the harbor and a breeze is always present. It is walking distance to town (a plus for me)and the bathrooms/showers are kept clean. The management is pleasant and helpful and I stayed a whole week! I would definitely return.

This WILL BE a great park when construction is completed. Right now it has the hookups, but with the construction still in progress, and it is difficult to get to the bathrooms/showers. It is a Passport America campground so for the one night I stayed there; it was well worth the price.
