This park is one of the best we have ever stayed in for many reasons. Although they do not have shady sites, absolutely everything else is great. The staff are probably the friendliest people we have ever met at a KOA. Everything is clean, and their "Pet Walk" is maintained, which other parks don't normally do. We have stayed here before, and will continue to do so.

This park is right along the river, and the scenery is nice. Unfortunately, the sites are all sand/dirt, so be prepared to wipe your feet off a lot. We had a heck of a time trying to find a level site also. They charge a per pet fee, regardless if you are in a tent, cabin, Motorhome, etc. We have never experienced a charge like this before at a KOA when having the pets in a Motorhome. They do not have an actual "Pet Walk" that is maintained. Hopefully, they can improve this.

Basically, we liked the park, and thought that the staff was very friendly and helpful. The park was very clean, and the campsites were very nice. It was a pleasure to actually have grass under our feet outside the Motorhome, instead of dirt, gravel, mud, etc. The only thing that they need to improve on is the "Pet Run" fenced area. It is not maintained, and you wonder if you are going to run into poison ivy, etc. within the fenced area. If they would address this problem, and mow it like they do the rest of the park, this would be an absolutely great place to spend your RV time in.

This is absolutely the best park we have ever seen for the scenery of the surrounding area, as well as the scenery around your camping area. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do have rental jeep type vehicles to see the surrounding area, but you need to get your reservations in early, as there are only so many of them available. The only thing we did not like about the park is their "Dog Walk", because it is located on a steep incline, and it is not maintained. Most people were taking their animals on a hiking trail in the middle of the park, and don't clean up after them. Management needs to address this problem and actually make the park "Pet Friendly" as advertised. Once this is accomplished, this could be the absolutely best KOA all around.
