Freeport / Durham KOA, Durham, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Very large open area for Big Rig access. WiFi worked great. The only complaint is the dust! This is a very nice park, but the dust generated by any and all vehicles is overwhelming. The sites are very long and level with a lot of grass, but it is hard to sit outside when, every time someone drives by, you are covered with dust. Either pave the streets or treat them to keep the dust down. We camped at Freeport / Durham KOA in a Motorhome.

Bayley's Camping Resort, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $96.00
Overall Rating:

I would have rated the park a 10 except for two things. The WiFi did not work at all at any time of the day in the Big Rig section of the park. The main road through the park needs serious grading or, even better, paving. It would cut down on the dust generated by vehicles if the roads were paved. We camped at Bayley's Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Western Village RV Park, Carlisle, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

If your "big rig" is over 40 feet, do not go here. At 44 feet, we were given a Pull-thru (actually 2 sites together #34 and #54). Trees were trimmed up at the site, but almost got stuck maneuvering into site avoiding the tree trunks. Trying to leave was another matter. Could not make the turn to exit the park without 3 peoples assistance, coming within 2" of the roof of the office, and actually hitting an overhanging branch of a corner tree that extends halfway across the road and damaging the roof. Very nice people, but NOT a good place for a large coach. Anyone advertising "Big Rig" access should take a 45' coach and actually enter the park, park the rig, and then exit the park to see what is involved. We camped at Western Village RV Park in a Motorhome.
