7th Ranch RV Camp, Garryowen, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Love, love, love this place! This is the kind of place I am thrilled to find. It's in a rural area. There are beautiful views, photo-op sunrises and sunsets, great star gazing and then there is the history in the area. All sites are pull-through and the spacing is very comfortable. Bathrooms and showers are roomy and very clean. My only problem was the WiFi. Even though the booster\repeater was pretty close, the signal on my smart phone was weak and kept dropping. I wasn't doing anything complicated or data-intensive, so I don't know why I was having such a problem. I did notice that when the RV in front of us moved, I had a much stronger signal. When I pulled out my laptop it worked much better. All said, I would stay there again in a heartbeat. We camped at 7th Ranch RV Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Casper East RV Park, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Bathrooms and showers were private and clean. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The RV sites were very close and the whole place felt really tight. There were many long term residents who have accumulated a lot of "stuff" that gave it a little bit of a cluttered feel. We stayed 2 nights and it met our needs. Wifi was not good! We camped at Casper East RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

AB Camping & RV Park, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are a little close together and short for some of the larger motorhomes and fifth wheels. Otherwise, it's a very nice RV Park. The bathrooms are very clean but not updated. Plenty of hot water and great water pressure. They have laundry facilities but I didn't use them. We camped at AB Camping & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Because of the price of this RV park, my expectations were high. The park itself was very nice but the showers were not clean. There was trash and hair in the shower stall. Also, we got two entry cards when we checked in but only one of them worked for the entry gate and the door to the clubhouse. The laundry room was nice but crowded. There was a mixup on our reservation and our site was double booked the third day we were there. It wasn't a problem for us but I don't know what happened to the other family. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mueller State Park, Divide, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a little bit of a disappointment. Most of the campsites are along the main road or in the middle of the road when it splits. There are a couple of loops that are a little more private but the campsites are all very close together. It's very crowded. There are a ton of hiking trails and they are very easy to follow. The people in the Visitor Center were very helpful. The park had laundry facilities that were modern and clean. We camped at Mueller State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Palo Duro Canyon State Park, Canyon, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We had an enjoyable stay and everyone was very helpful and friendly. We would not go to Amarillo in July if not for the Texas play. It's way too hot for us. That being said, I will go back in October or November. We camped at Palo Duro Canyon State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We highly recommend the Texas play. It was well worth the money. My husband and I are light eaters and we shared a BBQ dinner before the play.

Trinidad Lake State Park, Trinidad, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at a Colorado State Park. We were very impressed with the facilities, the cleanliness and layout. They have a clean, modern laundry facility. We didn't take advantage of the lake, but enjoyed the hiking trails. We camped at Trinidad Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Goliad State Park, Goliad, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We are big fans of Texas State Parks and Goliad SP did not disappoint. The full hook up sites were very spaced, level and pull through. The staff was very helpful with our Texas history/sightseeing questions. There is so much to see from a Texas Independence standpoint in the area. We camped at Goliad State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean and well run RV park. It is well situated for seeing the sites in San Antonio and the city bus stops right in front of the park. As most of the reviews mention, RV sites can be a little tight. We were fortunate to get one that was pretty roomy. Also, you will need a water pressure regulator. This was our second stay at Traveler's World RV Park. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Wood Recreation Area, Gonzales, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

A great park! Lake Wood is a hydroelectric lake owned and operated by the Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority. The back-in RV sites were roomy with lots of trees, grass and natural beauty. We had a full hookup site. The bathrooms and showers were clean but were a little old and outdated. The park host was friendly and helpful. There was fishing for those who like that sort of thing. They have a store that my husband was impressed with because of the amount of RV hardware they had available. We will stay there again when we are in the area. We camped at Lake Wood Recreation Area in a Fifth Wheel.

Schulenburg RV Park, Schulenburg, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay at Schulenburg RV Park. It's a relatively small park with a friendly and helpful staff. They were able to give us help with some sightseeing we wanted to do in the area. The park was clean as were the private bathrooms and showers. All sights were pull through with average spacing and nice trees. We didn't use the wifi so I can't comment on that. We would definitely stay there again if in the area. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Heart Of The Rockies Campground, Poncha Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived after a long day of driving and checked in easily since we had a reservation. We were put in the first spot in row D (full service, 30 amp) and got set up. We have a voltmeter so noticed right away that we were only getting 103 volts at the post. The manager agreed and moved us to row E which had 125 volts of 30 amp power. We found out later that the electricity on row A has been upgraded to accommodate big rigs and there are no issues on that row. All the roads are gravel and reasonably level. The Wi-Fi isn't good on row E but as you get closer to the office, it's great. The view from the RV park is very nice. It wasn't crowded at the park even though our stay included Labor Day weekend. There are some smallish trees and the RV spots are terraced so you have a feeling of privacy. The spots are about 50 feet apart. I had occasion to use the laundry room and was very impressed with the quality of their washers and dryers. There are three of each but one of the dryers had no heat. The water was hot and clean and filled to the top. The other high point for me was the shower. They weren't fancy but clean and private. Most importantly the water was hot and the water pressure was wonderful. The shower itself was a little small but it worked for me. All said we would stay here again when we are in the area. We camped at Heart Of The Rockies Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
