Waterway RV Park, Cedar Point, North Carolina
Date of Stay:
March, 2018 -
$1.00
Overall Rating:
This place was right on the water and so close to a lot of fun things to do. Laundry was $1.25 to wash and $1.50 to dry. It has a small playground and basketball court. The pool was under repair but it was really cold so we didn't use it anyway. The bathhouses we under remodeling so only was was not available to use during our stay. They were so clean. Our spot was by the dock which was nice but it was VERY hard to back into because if you weren't careful you could end up in the water. We really liked this park and would stay here again. We camped at Waterway RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice small park. Not much to do. Didn't check out showers/laundry. No dog run. There was a pond to walk around where we saw an alligator. It seemed there were a lot of long term campers. Spots were rock. We camped at The Oaks at Point South in a Travel Trailer.

We loved this place. We have stayed here a few times. Laundry was expensive. $3 for wash and $3 to dry! We did find a great laundry nearby that was clean and half the price. The showers are ok here, nothing to special but not gross. Thankfully when we stayed we get spots close to the bathhouse and laundry.
You want to get here early because there is a rush at check in. They drive you to the available spots but you can request an area and they will see what they have available. This place is always packed with kids. We were told to go to the B field. There was a nice pool, mini golf, giant chess and checkers sets to play with. You have to pay for Wi-Fi.
You can see the fireworks from Disney at night. There was a nature trail. There are signs up not to swim in the bodies of water that are around because of alligators. Scary! This park is confusing to navigate. There are one way streets and people will let you know if you are going the wrong way. We

There are grocery stores very close and a laundry mat as well.

Does not have a playground. Park is split in 3 sections. We stayed in the Sun section. This is not a fenced part of the park. We were put right by a very busy road. There is laundry and really nice showers. The laundry is the cheapest I've found yet. Kids loved their rec hall. This is not a park for kids though as there is nothing for them to do. If you can adventure out that is best. There was a farmers market and flea market that we went to right across the street at the fairgrounds. It had a lot of fresh produce but also typical flea market items. Bring cash. Many of the vendors do not take cards. We found this out when we went to buy apples. Our side did no have a pool,it was across the busy road. As there is no fence around the park, I felt unsafe and did not let the kids play outside as I normally would. We camped at Southern Palms RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This is a fairly big park. It's well kept and spaces are good sized. The laundry is the cheapest I've found yet, $1.25 for a wash and the same for dry. The facilities were clean and well kept. There are laundry and pool hours. They lock the gate at 9 pm and open at 9:30 am. There is walking trails and a dog run. The pool is saltwater. Staff is friendly. Nicely kept park. The grounds look good. The park is laid out into 2 circles. There is an east and a west part to the park. The clubhouse and most of the amenities are in the center by the office. The bathhouse is decent size but showers are kinda small. They could be cleaner. This place did not give us a sewer hook up, which they did not tell us about. They have a guy come with a honey wagon 2x per week, on Tuesday and Friday. This made showers and using any water VERY inconvenient for 6 people. There is a climbing structure shaped like a pirate ship and a monster truck kids can climb on. They can also climb or sit on the train or play in the swings. There is also a large metal slide to burn your butt on during the hot day, hahaha. There is a large dog run with tunnels. There is also a garbage dumpster conviently placed nearby. The clubhouse also has a bar for adults. The spots were tight. Our spot was to tight to back in so we had to drive through the field. We camped at Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The spots were good sized. Lots of Bikers and people who are there long term. We were right against a creek and it stank. Lots of No-See-ums and mosquitoes. The laundry wasn't expensive but a pain to work. The office lady was NEVER in the office. We had a late check in and every time we went up there to check in she wasn't there. There was NOWHERE for the kids to play. We saw a snake in the creek behind us and so that was a huge no go. There was a pool but we didnt use it. It looked nice. The grounds were well kept. The people who lived/stayed there were nice. There were lots of dogs and no dog park/run. We didn't go to the bathhouse so I have no idea what that was like. We camped at Rose Bay Travel Park in a Travel Trailer.

Oh there was nothing good about this park. It was is in a sketchy neighborhood. There were people packed into spots like sardines. No grass. The rv spots are double stacked. It feels like you are in a parking lot. All the connections are on the wrong side so you have to crawl under the rv to connect. Our spot also had ants which then came into our trailer. You could not use coins for laundry you had to buy a card for $5 then load it. Laundry itself didnt cost much. We were parked in the back (space #40) and heard the trains ALL NIGHT LONG!! You couldn't open any windows or vents because the bugs would come in. NOT FUN TIMES!!! Our space was a 50 amp and we weren't told that. All spaces are 50 amp. It was supposed to be a 30 amp. So we had to buy an adapter from the office (same one sold on Amazon for $8) for $50 then return it for a refund when we were done with it. The check in and office was next door at a totally different park! There were also no signs before you turned into the park that the office was next door so you had to try and figure that out. The gates open automatically when you pull up, which then leaves the park completely unsecured. There are no amenities for kids or pets, but plenty of people drinking at the bar. We camped at Highland Woods RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

This place had the tiniest spots and we were right next to the dog walk and that sucked because you could smell the dog urine. The dog walk only led to an open field. The laundry was really expensive. The bathhouse was dirty and needed to be updated. We camped at Gulf Air RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

The people were nice and the spots were a little hard to get into. The Laundry was nice and reasonable. The bathhouse was ok. They could use an update and to be cleaned. There was an indoor heated pool and hot tub. We took the kids there and they loved it. The residents seemed to be pretty close knit which was nice. There was no park or dog run. There is no playground.
There are 2 parks side by side. One is for the permanent residents. This park was really cool because it had a ton of Old Mans Beard moss hanging from the tress and there were even ferns growing from the tree bark. It was very shady. Not big sites but the park seemed roomy enough. We

Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp-Resort, Fredericksburg, Texas

$38.00
Overall Rating:
We loved the drive up here. It was so pretty. Not what we were expecting Texas to look like. The park was so much fun for the kids. There was so much for them to do. We went for walks. They played at the playground but I think their most favorite thing was the jumping pillow. They had a small dog area that was clean and had poop bags for you to use. The clubhouse was huge and had TVs, magazines, and movies to rent. Laundry and RR were nice. Laundry was about $1.50 for wash and the same for dry. We camped at Texas Wine Country Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in a Travel Trailer.
We loved all the wineries around. We went into town and had pizza at a local restaurant there. The little boys loved the fresh pizza. I loved walking around and seeing all the shops full of local artists. We really loved this town.
