Lake Whitney State Park, Whitney, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Park was very well kept. It was clean, quiet, lots of deer. Sites were spacious, some shaded some not. WIFI was good, Verizon LTE/3G was ok. Water access good for boating. Firewood available in the park via vending machine (credit card swipe). Also saw an onsite airstrip where RC modelers were flying. The two trails were short, well kept and a nicely shaded. We camped at Lake Whitney State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort, Frisco, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Visited week after Labor day. Park was quiet, immaculate and well manicured. Staff was helpful and courteous. The tent area is first come first served. The sites range from wide open grassy areas or heavily shaded or waterfront. While I camped in a tent, i did note RV sites were paved and nice as well. Boat ramps very nice as well. We camped at Hidden Cove Park Marina & Resort in a Tent.

Archview RV Resort & Campground, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

Location perfect for the national parks and town of Moab. Facilities were clean views were great. Highest cost RV park we stayed at during our six National Park tour. Fuel station on site (note diesel/gas was $1/gal higher than in town). Like most parks in this area, the entire park was gravel (i.e. Dust and limited pet locations). Lots of ATVs and motorcycles around but as other reviewer's noted they were hardly noticed. Stayed 3 nights (Arches, Canyonlands, Dead Horse state park) We camped at Archview RV Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Guadalupe River RV Park Campground, Spring Branch, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

The park was full this weekend but hardly any day users so it was quiet. The trails are good, river phenomenal (some kids were playing in it but most folks were not) Temps were 40-70deg and sunny. Verizon signal spotty but txt worked. Our trailer is 35' and arriving at 730pm Friday, there was only one spot left that would fit our trailer, the others were not even close. Park rangers were diligent about keeping campers from getting too loud and rowdy. Blue bonnets were out in full force and the photography opportunities very good by the river as well. We camped at Guadalupe River RV Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Fredericksburg RV Park, Fredericksburg, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $41.00

Stayed last weekend in April while visiting Fredericksburg. Not walkable to main street but it is an easy drive. The park is immaculate and nicely landscaped. While there are a lot of sites, the park is very quiet. Sites are mostly level. Wi-Fi excellent, Verizon excellent. Weather was 50s at night and upper 70s daytime. Tips for other Campers:

Favs: The Auslander, Fredericksburg Brewery, Cultures Bar & Grill, Silver Creek Bar and Grill had nice outdoor music. Beer was excellent everywhere

The gold nugget here was the Pacific War National Museum, Tix good for 48hrs. We spent two mornings going through all three places.

$20/person a van will take you to all the wineries. (There are more wineries than you can cover in one day) Grape Creek, Four Point and Becker were highly recommended by several of our neighbors.

Huntsville State Park, Huntsville, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Raven hill (sewer) section very nice but it took us over 3 sets of lynx blocks to get level. Other sections (no sewer) are more level. This is still one of our all time favorite parks due to the lake, park size, site size, amenities (horseback riding, canoe rental) and hiking trails. Also, firewood was 2 sticks/$1. We camped at Huntsville State Park in a Travel Trailer.
