Morro Strand RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The site was difficult to get into and we had to unhitch to park our SUV. After hour check in (after 6 pm) did not leave the code to access the showers bathroom and laundry. So we were out of luck. Gravel landscaping. Our site was next to the road (we were in park II). The park is next to a concrete plant and waste water facility. Industrial area near what looked like a power plant. The beach is close by and easy to walk to. We felt relatively safe and cannot comment on cleanliness of facilities since we could not access. Appeared to be all travelers/campers vs full timers. OK for a 1 night stay when passing through town. We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Beautiful surroundings. Owners very nice and friendly. Clean. Well maintained. No cell service but Wi-Fi worked well. At the entrance to Mt Rainier Park. Nice cabins available. Kid and pet friendly. Wish we stayed longer. Our spot did not have sewer but was easy to dump near office. Beautiful vegetation and creeks. Large trees. We camped at Mounthaven Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very tight spots and difficult to maneuver. Lots of full timers. Was more of a mobile park. Bathroom was decent. Nice staff. Not great for kids. Ok for a night or two. Bend is awesome. We camped at Scandia RV & Mobile Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice grounds. Ultra clean. Bathrooms and showers vet nice. Clean pool. Friendly staff. Kid friendly. Cons are that trees are immature so shade is lacking and it's mostly concrete. Concrete drives, gravel sites with patches of grass and nice picnic tables. Kids liked to ride scooters on the concrete. Pool was excellent and welcomed with the hot weather. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Crystal Hot Springs, Honeyville, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice grounds with shade trees. To swim in the hot springs costs extra. Popular location. Very kid friendly. Restrooms and showers were dirty run down and not stocked. Noise from train several times overnight. We gave lower score because of the bathrooms, showers and laundry facilities. We camped at Crystal Hot Springs in a Travel Trailer.

Sportsman RV Park, Parowan, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We did not feel comfortable here. Not clean. Across the street from what looked like a juvenile detention facility (barbed fence and orange jump suits). Dog waste all around. Homeless cats and a diseased kitten roaming around. Unattended dogs at the long term trailers. Bad signage. We would not reccommend. We camped at Sportsman RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. Clean. Excellent laundry facilities. Decent showers. The entrance is deceiving and park is nicer than it looks. Nearly all full timers. Not very kid friendly. River is nice. Road noise. Ok for a night. We camped at Rising River RV Park in a Motorhome.
