Praire View RV Park & Campground, Granite Falls, Minnesota

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient for an overnight stay, on our way back home. Check-in was easy, our site completely level on a concrete pad and surrounded by well kept green grass and small trees. Utilities were well placed. The Wi-Fi was strong and more than adequate. I did a couple of loads of laundry, the place was spotless and inexpensive. Extremely quiet at night, we slept well and only heard an occasional train in the distance. We would definitely stay here again if passing through this area. We camped at Praire View RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lewis & Clark State Park, Rushville, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice state park, near Missouri river, easy access off our route. Only electric hookups at site, but several water faucets available for filling up, also at dump station. The host said they had some recent heavy rains and there was several areas of standing water throughout the park, therefor a lot of mosquitoes. Someone was spraying the park, so hopefully it got better.
Small convenient laundry in bathhouse building. We camped at Lewis & Clark State Park in a Motorhome.

Palmetto State Park, Gonzales, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Just an overnight stop for us and I called from San Antonio to make sure they had vacancies in the RV area. Lady who checked us in was very nice and let us pick our spot (from her computer screen) We had a nice site with trees on one side and a large field and trail on the other side. Enjoyed walking some of the trails by the river and a very peaceful stay despite being only a few miles off I-10. We would stay here again. We camped at Palmetto State Park in a Motorhome.

Ho-Hum RV Park, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Location, location, location! We paid $76.50, including tax for a 2 night stay and thoroughly enjoyed our ocean front spot. Nice clean park, friendly and helpful workers, super quiet at night. Some traffic noise during the day, but not bad. We enjoyed watching the pelicans and other birds as well as the folks fishing from the pier. Everything worked well, including the Wi-Fi. We hated to leave and would definitely stay there again. We camped at Ho-Hum RV Park in a Motorhome.

Silver Dollar Resort Campground, Odessa, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We have been staying at the Silver Dollar for many years, usually in the off season, while visiting family and friends in the area. The price is good compared to the few other parks in the area, but I must say the RV spots are getting more and more run down - broken slabs, weeds, broken tree branches and trash everywhere. On the plus side, the laundry is clean and priced right, nice safe areas for morning/evening walks and it is quiet (on the golf side) especially at night. Don't know if we will be there again, unless they clean the RV area up a bit. We camped at Silver Dollar Resort Campground in a Motorhome.

Maynor Creek Water Park, Waynesboro, Mississippi

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We needed to get off the highway, due to strong winds and tornado activity in the area. Knew of this park since we had stayed there once, many years ago. It did have a rundown appearance and we paid $23.50 (senior rate) for a mediocre site in the first loop. We did not know that the sites in the second loop were much nicer, however we do not plan to stay there again. We camped at Maynor Creek Water Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed 3 nights while visiting family in the area. Owner very friendly and helpful. Everything worked and we wrote a check for $90 (no credit cards taken). Close to Walmart and several restaurants. Don't miss the free Fort Rucker Museum. We would stay here again. We camped at Mr. D's RV & Camper Park in a Motorhome.

Queen Mine RV Park, Bisbee, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We are currently staying at this park for 2 nights and finding it to be quite satisfactory. The sites are all about the same size, not huge but OK, utilities work well but WiFi is a bit slow. We walked around town yesterday and had a good lunch at the Table. Today we are taking the Queen Mine Tour, which has been highly recommended to us. Certainly would stay here again. We camped at Queen Mine RV Park in a Motorhome.

Golden Spike RV Park, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a regular overnight stop for us, going north or south. I can see why they fill up almost every night. Friendly staff, easy check in, well placed utilities and strong WiFi are all pluses for us. Walmart, gas and restaurants close by and only a mile or so from I15. We hope to see them next summer. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Motorhome.

Jefferson County Lake Campground, Rigby, Idaho

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The very friendly lady at entrance gate marked on a map which sites were available and suggested we drive around and see which would be to our liking. We chose a pull through site adjacent to the lake. Roads are in good shape but on most sites the gravel has deteriorated and there is more weeds than grass. Even so, we enjoyed and probably would return. Our site was level, the utilities worked well, and we had some shade. It is rather noisy on Sunday, but much quieter and enjoyable on Monday. Very nice 1.1 mile walking path around perimeter of park. Rigby is an interesting little town and worth a visit. We camped at Jefferson County Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Southside RV Park, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our 2nd stay here and still a 10. The owners live on site and work really hard all the time. Lots of shade trees and green grass (frequently irrigated). Nice level spacious sites, good utilities. WiFi worked well, train and freeway noise was minimal. We planned to stay 3 nights and stayed one more, just to relax and enjoy watching the ducks and sitting under the shade trees. We hope to see them again next summer. We camped at Southside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Canyon RV Park (Closed), Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

With weekly rate, cost was about $34 per night. Nice little park with great hard working owners. Only a few sites are actually next to the Yellowstone River, but we were very pleased with our back in site - #22. It was far enough back from the road to have minimal traffic noise and there were benches available to sit by the river, which we really enjoyed. Beautiful views and a number of scenic drives in the area. Hope to see them next year. We camped at Rock Canyon RV Park (Closed) in a Motorhome.

Our 3rd stay here and as good as last year. Very friendly and helpful owner and staff. Everything clean, neat and well kept, and quiet, even when full over 4th of July. Beautiful expansive views of the Madison Valley and the mountains. Our 4 night stay with Good Sam discount was less than $31 per night. We plan to come back next year. We camped at Ennis RV Village in a Motorhome.

Great for an overnight stop, close to I-15 and Idaho Falls. We were surprised to find only 3 spots available at noon, but it was July 2nd. Camping area is close to road, but not busy. Park is well kept and has interesting exhibits walk around and see. We would stay again if coming through this area. We camped at North Bingham County Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

81 Palms Senior RV Resort (55+ Park), Deming, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Had a good overnight stay. Can see a lot of work and care has gone into this place. Huge activity building and super clean laundry and bathrooms. Our only complaint - we took a spot close to the main building, specifically so we could use the internet, but the Tengo system was all but useless. It kept dropping off and when it did work was slower than dial up. Seems like if you advertise internet, it should work ! We camped at 81 Palms Senior RV Resort (55+ Park) in a Motorhome.
