Very nice campground. Even during the height of the season, it was so quiet you could hear the leaves moving. Some sites right across the street from a mountain stream. We were all the way in the back and it was perfect for us. We keep to ourselves and are very quiet. We like that other people do too. Owners are really trying to make this campground a destination place and it looks it. We spent some time with one owner: she was delightful. We love Townsend and the fact that it's away from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville and you come in the back way from Knoxville. Easy to find with large level spaces. They have reasonable rules and enforce them for the enjoyment of all the campers. Highly recommended. It's now our "place" in the Smokies!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were great and we had a choice of sites when we arrived. We took one on the end on the banks of the Kentucky River. It was a good choice. The other campers were friendly and quiet. The site was level and easy to back into. The road to the campground is windy and narrow, so big rigs should be very careful. We were only 25 minutes from the Kentucky Horse Park and that was a great place to be...out of the hustle and bustle. Highly recommended!
