Marquette Tourist Park, Marquette, Michigan

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a well located campground with quick access to most of the sights in area, many of which can be reached by bike. the campground offers a mix of open and more wooded sites. Bathrooms are clean, but have only a few showers. When we visited, the lake was closed due to a dam break, and was in the process of being restored. We camped at Marquette Tourist Park in a Tent Trailer.

Aune-Osborn Campground, Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located on the St. Mary's river, and offers good views of the river and passing freighters. Bathrooms and showers are very clean. The campground itself is mostly open without trees, and tends to flood somewhat during rainstorms. Also, due to it's location on the river it tends to be very windy. Lastly, it is located next to the sewage treatment plant, which can make some days a little less enjoyable. Not recommended if you are looking for a more rustic campground. We camped at Aune-Osborn Campground in a Motorhome.

A nicely wooded campground located on Elk Lake. A select group of sites have good views of the lake. Management is friendly. Clean bathrooms and showers. We camped at Whitewater Township Park in a Tent Trailer.
