Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

5 minutes drive to the beach. All paved roads and slots. Cleaning up weed type trees that came in from the hurricane years ago and lost a lot of trees from fire several years ago, but still lots of space between slots. Lots of great trails and great for bike riding. Close to town and shopping/food but still feel away from it all. Full hook ups. Love this place. We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center, Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Many of the sites hold water and can be muddy if it rains. Some of the sites have faucets that leak. Better to the back row. Great location. Nice place to walk as it is near the Mississippi levee walkway. Near casino and LSU. Good price. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Fifth Wheel.

Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging, Groveland, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Clean laundry. Nice size slots. Not much shade. Deer ran through the camp ground behind us. Level slot. Close to Sequoia National Park. Please follow their directions concerning the road up the mountain. Do not use GPS suggestions. Talked with someone who did follow GPS and it was not a road for RV. We camped at Yosemite Pines RV Resort & Family Lodging in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy diesel fill up just outside of town. Leave early when going down the mountain to leave so you don't cross construction traffic as the road down is curvy and steep.

Sequoia RV Ranch, Three Rivers, California

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent slot. Clean and private. California quail walked into our campsite everyday. Level. Easy to find using campsite directions. Very close to National Parks. Would stay here again. Not sure of the cost. Last slot on the loop, so only neighbor on one side. Very private. Both this slot and the one next to it seemed almost the best of all. Back in slot. We camped at Sequoia RV Ranch in a Fifth Wheel.

Very pretty. Peaceful on the weekdays, but busy on weekends. Clean everywhere. Big pads and nice sites. Private. Can't see into each others sites. Lots of space. Great shade. I will be back on a weekday. Water views are great. We camped at Jimmie Davis State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana, Woodworth, Louisiana

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were small. Level pads, but area for chairs was either uphill or downhill from pad. Maps were out of proportion. We took the wilderness trail that looked on the map to be 15 minutes, but 45 minutes later we finally ended up on the main road again. Our poor dog was panting. Sites very close together. All was well maintained and very friendly. Missed Wi-Fi very much. We camped at Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana in a Motorhome.

Stayed on North end with friends. Clean and peaceful. Will come back. Cabins are so pretty on the lake. South End has wooden decks, but small lots. I like North end best. We camped at Chicot State Park in a Fifth Wheel.
