Tiger Run RV Resort, Breckenridge, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Large park with very helpful staff. Stayed in space next to river with beautiful views of surrounding mountains. Minutes away from Breckenridge. Spaces have plenty of room with well maintained lawns and picnic tables. Some spaces have fire rings, some don't (ours did). Activities on site include fishing, basketball, horseshoes, swimming pool, two hot tubs, and a playground. All are well maintained. Biking and hiking National Forest is adjacent to park. This is a destination resort in a very expensive area (Breckenridge) and was well worth the $50.00 per night. Will make this an annual trip during the summer as Breckenridge as a ton of things to do for the family. We camped at Tiger Run RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Baby Doe, Leadville, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2006 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely beautiful park, one of the most scenic I've been to in Colorado. Camped in July, mid 30's at night and low 70's during the day. Very spacious sites. Highly recommend a lakeside site. Located in a shaded lodgepole forest, along Turquoise Lake. Elevation is 10,000 feet. Entrance road is narrow but had no problems towing my 25 ft 5th wheel. Limited water available, no electric or sewer hookups but there is a dump station at the park. We camped at Baby Doe in a Fifth Wheel.

Aspen-Basalt Campground, Basalt, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly staff, clean pool, and spotless restrooms but that sums it up for this campground. The spaces are close together with no privacy as sites share utilities and face one another. Many permanent residents with run down rigs in adjacent section of park. Grossly overpriced. I am not joking when I state that there was a sign next to a coin box near the hot tub that said "50 cents for bubbles"! We camped at Aspen-Basalt Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

CasaBlanca Resort-Casino, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Granted, this park is basically a parking lot with Shrubs and Palm trees but it is in close proximity to the hotel pool which is beautiful. Great for the kids as the pool has a waterslide. We stay here every year when heading out to California. Mesquite has great Golf as well. We camped at CasaBlanca Resort-Casino in a Fifth Wheel.

Good overnight spot. Spaces are shady but a bit dusty. Restrooms were clean. Park is located next to a golf course. I will stay there again when passing through. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Richfield KOA, Richfield, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2006 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived late and left in the morning so we did not look around too much. I met the new management and the park is under new ownership. We found the new owners very friendly and helpful. Park was clean and well kept. In my opinion, it's fine for an overnight. We camped at Richfield KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
