This park is actually a horse camp, but most horse campers only come on weekends. Outer sites seldom have horses. Owners keep stables very clean; horse campers were very thoughtful about cleaning up behind their animals. Park is in a beautiful natural country setting and backs up to Green River Lake state Park with excellent boat launch, hiking, biking and horse riding trails. Campers and locals gather in the old saloon style hall for karaoke on weekends. This is a dry county, but guests are welcome to bring in their beverage of choice. September through December, the park may be booked solid with Amazon work campers.

This park was really clean and manicured. The grounds were beautiful and the facilities very clean. The owners were onsite and very friendly and attentive. Our site was almost perfectly level, and surrounded by green grass. Picnic tables, power connections and sewer connections were all in excellent condition. Access, unlike many parks in the area, was easy on paved roads. Use exit 129 off I75 for a shorter trip down the 2-lane road. We highly recommend this park.

Great small park for family outdoors camping experience. Not fancy, but neither is the price. Small lake with fishing. Terrific park for overnight stay for RVers passing through. Full hookups, in good shape. Close to freeway and tourist attractions. DNR pond does NOT produce mosuitos or odor. Shady gravel sites, in beautiful mature Missouri oaks, pretty country area. Cash only. We recommend highly for traveling RVers or few days stay.

The new owners have put many, many thousands of dollars into upgrades and refurbishing and it really shows. They aren't finished yet. The grounds are lush and beautiful, woodsy, and lots of green grass. Staff was wonderful and fun to work with. One of the nicest family parks we have ever camped in. Great layout for family camping without feeling jammed in and nose to nose. Fun things for kids to do. Prices are very reasonable for the costs to provide the amenities and keep the park spotless. We highly recommend this park.

The park showed signs of deterioration and poor maintenance. Our site was missing a picnic table, the tables at other sites were delapidated. There was so little room between rigs we could only place a borrowed table over the neighbor's sewer connection. Most all playground equipment was broken, and apparently had been for a very long time. Old equipment was parked around the office and playground area. Showers were very poorly lighted and poorly ventilated. During the 2 1/2days we stayed, 2 of the 4 dryers were broken and not repaired. A third dryer ceased to function while we were doing our laundry, after a long wait. While our money for the dryer was refunded, the dryer was not even marked "out of order" several hours later. Service at the restaurant was very poor. We ordered 2 entrees, one of which was "all you can eat bison chili and cornbread." The waitress simply plopped one small bowl in front of me, and informed me that that was all the chili they had left, giving me no option to reorder, and informed us that we would need to order another second entree. It took another 15 - 20 minutes to get the other entree while the first sat getting cold. I asked for a second piece of cornbread, since I was still hungry. The waitress tried to add a $1.00 charge to the tab for the single piece of cornbread, on an "all you can eat" entree, of which there was no more chili. The french fries on the second order were partly burned and of poor quality. Overall, the food quality was poor and poorly served, hardly worth the $30 we paid for 1 small bowl of chili, 2 small slices of cornbread, 1 bratwurst and burned fries with 2 beers, and 1 small serving of trifle. We do not recommend this RV park or the restaurant.

Delightful park with great mature shade trees and grass at every site. The restrooms and showers were very private, new and clean; luxurious compared to most RV parks we have been in. Very friendly and helpful owner/manager and camp host. Staff made every effort to make certain we were comfortable and had all the help we needed, including directions and tips of touring the Amana Colonies nearby. We had a most pleasant 3-night stay and would highly recommend this park.

Facility was very clean and well-run by the owners. Owners were very pleasant hosts, and very helpful with area shopping information and recommendations for dining. Park only accepts cash, add tax to nightly rate. Unusually nice visual privacy between sites and shade. Sites were well leveled and very clean. Hookups were very good quality and condition. No "junk" piled around rigs. We highly recommend this park.

Office was not open during posted hours in advertising. We waited nearly half an hour for someone to open the office more than 2 hours after the posted opening time. Daily message boards had not been updated in over a week. We requested a 50 amp pull through and were told none were available. The road to the site we were assigned was narrow, and partially blocked with other campers personal inflatable toys spilling out into the road. Backing into the space was very difficult. There was no shade, everything was gravel or concrete, and the outside temperature was 108 degrees. Once we had struggled to back in, we found that the oleanders blocked access to the sewer connections for our site. Furthermore, the power box was mounted too far back in the stand and we could not connect a power cord at all. Again, due to oleanders, we had to park on the wrong side of the pad, or scrape up the side of the rig with no room for the pop-out. When we pulled out and returned to the office, and requested a refund, suddenly, there was a 50amp pull through space available. The manager was grumpy and let us know she was upset that she had had to work that morning, and had gotten hot and dirty (doesn't that come with the job?). Not wanting a repeat of the electrical connection problem, and another jaunt through the narrow lanes, we simply asked for a refund and left the park.
