Ventura Beach RV Resort, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are jammed together and a noisy highway runs right behind the park. The manager was extremely rude and there are homeless people everywhere. We never felt safe. Do not stay here! Way over priced. Expect to pay extra for every little thing. We camped at Ventura Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

We were pleasantly surprised by this park. The park is well kept, neat and clean. The staff were very nice and helpful. There are mobile homes but they are nice and well kept as well. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Ho Ho Kam Mobile Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Ridgway State Park, Ridgway, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Our first time at this park and we love it. We stayed in site 80 something, nice with trees. Electric only, no water hookups or sewer. Host's were so nice, they welcomed us as soon as we got there. We bought firewood and ice (yes, they sell ice!) and they delivered it to our site! Now that's service! We camped at Ridgway State Park in a Travel Trailer.

American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2013 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, friendly staff. Unfortunately when we were there the WiFi was down the WHOLE time and they were having an issue with the water. They would turn it off to work on the line, then when turned back on it was very dirty. Laundry facilities closed due to water issue. We camped at American RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pioneer RV Park, Whitehorse, Yukon

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $30.00

Nice park. We parked in the treed hill area, nice spacious and a bit private. The pull throughs are VERY close together, okay for an overnight but no wow factor. Staff very friendly and helpful. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Haines Hitch-Up RV Park, Haines, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice well kept park. Very strict rules which keep this park nice. All sites are nice, more private in the back away from main road. About 6 blocks from town. We preferred the Ocean front RV park but they were full. Oceanside is smaller and site closer together but views of ocean are worth it, and right in town. I would stay at Oceanside is available just because the harbor is right out your front door, but this one is very good. We camped at Haines Hitch-Up RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Bear Paw RV Park II (Adults only), Valdez, Alaska

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Worth a little extra $. We stayed here 7 nights. Beautiful views of the harbor and bay area. Bear Paws other park is a block closer to harbor, nice, but sites are very close. This park has more privacy, nice to sit outside and watch the boats come in. You'll be glad you stayed here. Best site is #11. We stayed in 12 and it is great also. We will stay here again if we return to Valdez. A beautiful, very walkable town. We camped at Bear Paw RV Park II (Adults only) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tye RV Park, Tye, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very convenient, on the access road but back a little so the highway noise was not a problem. However, the jets that fly over are EXTREMELY loud. They look cool when your sitting out in the evening, they fly very close to the ground, it's amazing! But when your trying to sleep, scared the &*()_ outta me! Sounded like they were going to hit our camper. If it wasn't a jet flying over it was a darn train going by. Sites are out of level from front to back as the whole property slopes back, but we dealt with it because we didn't want to unhook for 1 night. They only have FHU with one rate, $25. Very few cable channels and could not get the local channels. The free wifi would not work. Will never stay here again. We camped at Tye RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
