Port of Siuslaw Campground and Marina, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Nothing beautiful about this Park, but as has been noted, it has location. There are two parts to this Park. One is a loop with trees and some grass. Looks like they were occupied mostly by monthly renters. The other area are spaces surrounding some boat storage sheds, with some on the water. (Check the map on the Park web site, and Google Maps satellite view.) Most of these spaces have a lot of room to maneuver when backing in. The ones in the loop appear rather tight. All hookups are at the rear of the pad, and can require long sewer, power, water, and cable TV runs. Bring extensions for each. Verizon, and AT&T cell service is good. 62 cable TV channels. We camped at Port of Siuslaw Campground and Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Osprey Point RV Resort, Lakeside, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first visit to this park and we were surprised by the completeness of the facilities. The park is on a lake and there is a marina and also a sports type bar serving food and drink. Also a small store and large meeting room. Our site was level with no problems with the hook ups. WiFi was OK but we had some problems logging on. Good Verizon cell service in the park. About 24 Cable TV stations. The town of Lakeside is very small but there is a good sized market and a hardware store if you need supplies. We will stay here again when we return to the area. We camped at Osprey Point RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort, Reedsport, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at the Park after Labor Day, the second week in September. Our check-in was fast and friendly, site was level, WiFi was good. Sites are dirt, but roads are gravel. Cable TV was limited to only about ten channels. No Verizon cell phone service. We interacted with the staff a couple of times during our stay and all were positive. We found the Park quite, with only a few other rigs in the lower section of the Park. Many of what use to be RV sites have been turned in to camping cabins in the Upper Section of the Park. We could see that during the summer or weekends the Park could be busy with families and potentially noisy, especially in the lower section by the marina. We will return to the Park, but it will be mid week, off season. We camped at Loon Lake Lodge and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Pines RV Park, Crescent, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here on our way home to Portland from the desert.

Very nice Park, with large pull throughs. Clean and well kept. Gravel roads and sites. Site was level. Many pine trees. Friendly owner.

We will stay here again, and recommend this Park. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Powell Campground, Powell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $8.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice Forest Service campground with electrical available at about 25 sites. The sites are wide with plenty of room for your slideouts. I would not recommend it for large motor homes or 5th wheels. A bonus is the Lochsa Lodge which is a short walk from the campground. We enjoyed a nice dinner there. They have Wi-Fi available in the bar area. No cell phone service. We camped at Powell Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

The Inn at Philipsburg RV Park, Philipsburg, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

As has been previously mentioned, this is a no frills park, but it does have full hookups, and is close to town. More than acceptable for a few days stay. Friendly staff. There is Verizon 4G phone and data coverage of the Park. Take the Broadway exit off Highway 1, at the Sinclair gas station. We camped at The Inn at Philipsburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Placid Lake State Park, Seeley Lake, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2014 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice state park campground on Placid Lake, about 3 miles south of the town of Seeley Lake. There are 40 sites; 15 have have electrical service. It is fairly tight so I wouldn't recommend it for a rig over 35 feet total length. Water is available at a central location. The park is paved, but the three mile road into the park is gravel. There is a boat ramp/dock available. Boat trailer parking is available. There is a new modern restroom and shower facility. There is a charge for showers. Firewood and ice is available from the camp host. The rate is $28 per night for non residents, $20 for Montana residents. Reservations can be made at the Montana State Park web site. There is Verizon 4G phone and data coverage in the Park. We camped at Placid Lake State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Whitefish RV Park, Whitefish, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed at this park four times over the last ten years. Somewhat hard to find, but has the best location for access to Whitefish and local shopping. The park is behind a motel that is about a half block off of Highway 93. The motel is behind some retail outlets. Checkin is at the motel office. The park is well kept, with asphalt access road, and gravel sites. Our site was level. WI-Fi worked well. Verizon 4G access. Dump site. Although there are some big rigs in the park, personally I would not want to bring a motor home or fifth wheel longer than 36 feet into the park. Too tight. We will stay here the next time we visit Whitefish. We camped at Whitefish RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park, Cut Bank, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

A nice park, with the basics. Water, electric, cable, no sewer, but a dump station is available. WI-Fi worked well, and Verizon 4G service is good. Not many trees, but that is Central Montana. The owners are very personable, and want to do what is necessary to make your visit pleasant. We did not use the bathroom or shower facilities. We stayed 4 days to do some genealogy work, and will return to this park. We camped at Riverview RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed overnight on our way to Missoula. Very nice Park. Clean and well kept. Large sites, with plenty of space between your neighbor. Nice job of terracing the sites. We will stay again next time in Saint Regis. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Flory's Cottages & Camping, Ronks, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Older little park, within 15 minutes of all the major area attractions. Mainly back in spaces. Friendly, helpful staff. Cable TV $4 per night extra. Used our Verizon wireless card, which worked perfectly. AT&T cell phone worked fine. Park has Wi-Fi. The park is surrounded on three sides by working Amish farms. If you don’t like mooing cows and crowing roosters, you better camp in the city. We camped at Flory's Cottages & Camping in a Fifth Wheel.
