Pilot Knoll Park & Campground, Argyle, Texas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Beware of Snakes. That sign was posted everywhere. Snakes??? And there were snakes! They would crawl out of the water at night to warm up on the pavement at night. So...walking a dog at night is an adventure. The roads were paved. The lake is lovely. Lots of trees. Lots of stickers, dirt and debris gets tracked in - I don't like to 'rough it' and camping there is the way it is. Not again. Ever. We camped at Pilot Knoll Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Ugh. What a sad place. Only a few RV spaces - the rest are permanent trailers, rusting yard cars and scary looking sites. No way would I come back. We camped at Water Sports RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Park Ridge RV Campground, Van Buren, Arkansas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Dirt. Dirt everywhere! But they do have trees. And some really old permanent trailers. Kids and dogs tend to run free. Not well kept. Not a place I would want to return. They also charge three dollars a day extra to use their Wi-Fi. The only thing I liked about the place was their big trees. Oh well. We camped at Park Ridge RV Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Very nice and the staff is working hard at making some great improvements. The roads and sites are being paved! New Owners as of July 2011 and these people actually care about making sure their guests have a positive experience. They are making improvements everywhere, club house, swimming pool, and on the golf course. Would stay here again. We camped at Wanee Lake Golf and RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
