This once great park has really fallen on hard times. I believe the new owner (As of Oct 2013) is trying to bring the park up, but its really needing a lot of TLC. Electrical issues on the water side needs to be addressed. The boxes are OLD and rusty. Some of our members had breakers go often. Talking with another RV group it appears this new owner is trying to restore it, but He needs to invest in the grounds big time. Needs to get rid of the "Full Timers" with seedy rigs and seedier jobs (IE Ladies of the night). I will wait for a year to see if it improves but as it sits now I doubt I will recommend the park. Especially with the Price they charge .. $45 a night water side and $40 a night park side is really steep for the condition its in.

Despite no shade and 111 temps the park is excellent. Staff is very very friendly and they keep the park very pristine. 50 amp hook ups would be nice if you have 2 A/Cs. I don't so the 30 was OK, but I saw a lot of portable A/Cs being run off another power pole. Its very close to everything in Vegas you need or want to see. Camping world is 10 miles north on the same road. You need to be a 1000 trails member to stay.

Called ahead for a reservation, that worked OK. How ever, when we got there the attendant that checked us in wasn't very friendly. We were tired and wanted to do laundry after eating. But we couldn't do that because they close it at 8pm. The park closed everything by 9pm. It was 94 degrees and they put us in a spot that faced the sun so the trailer was hot as you know what till sundown. What really irked me is I counted at least 20 sites under the trees. When we left in the morning they were still empty. Park was not that clean and it was very noisy. Heavy traffic and several trains over night. I wouldn't stay here again if you paid me.

Super friendly staff. Great campground kept very neat by staff. Everything you need is there. Camp Store is well staffed with RV parts you may want/need. Staff knows town very well and offers great advice for places to see and eat. Would stay there again.
