This was a campground we had heard about but didn't know a lot about. They had lost our reservation, but luckily they weren't busy and got us a great site. The sites for tents/tent trailers are not numbered and when we went to book again, they told us we could ask for specific site, but they may not be able to give it to us. But, the weekend we spent there was beautiful. The Canaan River is gorgeous. It was quiet and peaceful, we were close enough to the playground and events, but didn't have to be in the middle of it all. There was a 9 hole golf course there my husband wants to try out next time. I think there was Wi-Fi, but only up by the office. We couldn't get it at our site. Bathrooms were okay. Not the best out of all of the places we have been but were fine. We really liked it there and are booked to go back again this upcoming weekend.

The best campground yet! It was pricey when you consider the entry fee, but there is so much to do there. The sites are very private, the bathrooms are very clean. There was a nice indoor cooking area if it were to rain, complete with a sink, picnic tables and wood stoves. There was Wi-Fi, but only at the front entrance, which didn't help us at all. The showers could have been warmer (push button, no temp control), but were acceptable. Definitely a favorite and we'll be back!

This is not a family friendly park. We stayed three nights and there didn't appear to be anyone around to enforce the quiet times they had on their rules. All three nights were filled with people drinking and partying well into 2am. Saturday night, there were more parties and what sounded like an open mic night at midnight. The pool was beautiful, that was definitely a perk. Our site was tiny, and all of the seasonal sites were scattered between the daily sites. We stayed there in 2007 (tenting) and dealt with the same party atmosphere, but decided to give it another try since we're in the area. It was difficult reserving the site, they didn't answer the phone past 6pm and didn't call me back with site availability after I finally touched base with them. We will not be staying there again.

We loved it there and ended up staying another day. The playground was very close to us and our little boy was able to play in it without us even having to leave our lot. The beach front was beautiful, views of the caves and you could sometimes hear the waves while falling to sleep! The only annoyance was that the Wi-Fi was spotty and very slow. We were still glad to have it, but it was slower than dial up.
