Date of Stay:

We camped here 3 nights with our Good Sam Chapter. Although it was hot 100 plus degrees, we had a great time. We camped in the Big Pine area with pull throughs, water, sewer and 50 amp available. We had some shade. Satellite access in our site was easy. Each site had picnic table lamp post and fire ring. There was a burn ban, so we could not light a campfire. Restroom and showers are clean. Great park for the price.

We've camped in this park many times. It is a great Sate Park. Restrooms are clean. The park is improving the sites by adding 50 amp and sewer to some sites. Most sites are level and large enough for big rigs. Some are smaller and can only handle tents and pop-ups. Most sites have some shade. Fees are now more for sewer sites: $30/night. As with all State Parks, there is a user fee $5 per day unless you purchase a State Park Pass, which is good at all State Parks. This park is close to Dallas and FT Worth.
