Overall Rating:

We camped here for a week using it as a base to see Fort Davis, Alpine, Marathon, Marfa and Balmorhea. We had 46 cable TV channels, although some were snowy. We were in site four and had excellent WiFi reception. Staff very friendly. I would stay here again. We camped at Fort Davis Motor Inn in a Motorhome.

Haskell City Park, Haskell, Texas

Date of Stay: August, 2008 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Level, hard surface sites in city park. Both 30A and 50A FHU sites available. Asphalt walking/jogging trail and other park amenities. Easy walk to downtown. There is an unattended gas/diesel station just east of downtown on US380 with pretty good prices. First night is free. Nightly rate after the first night has gone up to $12. We camped at Haskell City Park in a Motorhome.

Hickory Hollow Campground, Utica, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice clean campground. We had a 50 amp full hook-up in a level, gravel site. It was just fine for the two nights we stayed or even longer. The traffic noise is a little loud, but not too bad unless you're a light sleeper. We had poor, but usable wifi connection in site G6. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and inviting. We stayed here two nights in a motorhome at the Passport rate. We camped at Hickory Hollow Campground in a Motorhome.

Sunset Lakes Resort, Hillsdale, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the best parks I've stayed in. Nice clean park with paved roads and super nice owners and manager. We had a 30 amp full hook-up site. I don't know if there are sites with 50 amp. We stayed one night at the RPI Rate and four nights with a rally. The owners and manager bent over backward to make us happy. If I had 50 amp I would have rated the park a ten. We camped at Sunset Lakes Resort in a Motorhome.

Forest Manor Campground, Lebanon, Missouri

Date of Stay: July, 2008 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Grass sites behind a Motel along the side of the property next to dense trees and brush. I wouldn't try to get anything over 40 ft in here. This is a passport park, but even the passport rate is high for what you get. We camped at Forest Manor Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside RV Park, Opelika, Alabama

Date of Stay: February, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Park appears to be a work in progress. Wifi not at all sites yet, but being added. Our pull-through had excellent wifi. Many trees in park, but no problem maneuvering our 40' long 12.5' high motorhome pulling a Jeep. There appears to be abandoned construction equipment nearby, but was not a problem for us. There are many construction workers camped here, but there sites are well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Scenic Canyon RV Park, Cloudcroft, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Nice quiet park to relax and get away from the summer heat. The park is in a small valley surrounded by pines. However there are no trees at the campsites. The WIFI worked well. I had no cell phone service with AT&T, but other campers told me Verizon had service. You have to go into Alamogordo for major shopping and groceries. If I came back to this area, I would definitely stay here again. We camped at Scenic Canyon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2007 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Good place to stay to see Carlsbad and the Caverns. Park is clean, has good laundry facilities and game room with pool, ping pong and other. Separate area with barbeque is available and they provide the propane for the grill. Sites are level and wide. Park is dusty, but after all it is in the desert. I would stay here again. We camped at Carlsbad RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Dublin City Park, Dublin, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park to stop overnight or for a couple of days to visit the area. However, we stayed on a Saturday night and there was loud music in a nearby building until midnight. I don't know if this is every Saturday night or not. We camped at Dublin City Park in a Motorhome.

Boone RV Park, Lampasas, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $27.00

Very nice clean park with lots of shade from large trees. Hosts were very friendly and helpful and led us to our site. I would have given the park a ten, but it was a little expensive and the highway was a little noisy. We stayed one night in a 40' motorhome. We camped at Boone RV Park in a Motorhome.
