Hope Village Inn & RV Park, Hope, Arkansas

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped here on our travels from New England back to Texas. There is nothing special about this place except the price and convenience from Interstate 30. $20 for 50AMP, water, and sewer. No frills here; however the interior roads were all paved and nice, the site was paved and level. Easy in/out to Interstate 30. Office worker was very friendly and helpful. Would stay here again if passing thru. We camped at Hope Village Inn & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed three nights. Mostly here just to rest a couple of days on our trip from Northeast Canada back to Texas. Beautiful park with a nice little lake. Since it is November, the pool is closed for the season.

Hosts/owners are great folks. There is RV repair service center here where minor 'fixes' can be obtained.

Would love to stay here again. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We were just traveling thru and needed one night. This campground was in our path. Park is a bit tight for a 40 foot 5th wheel & truck, but got into our back-in without much problem. Friendly and helpful staff. We camped at Moon River Marina and Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term), Chesterland, Ohio

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a manufactured home park with really nice homes. There are about 8-10 RV sites, all back-ins with water, sewer, and 20/30/50 AMP service. Very clean area!!! Manager was super friendly. For the price, you will not find a nicer, cleaner, more convenient place this close to Cleveland! We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Creek Campground, Gardners, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Spacious, friendly staff, and quiet. We were here November 1, 2017, so the Fall colours surrounded us. Close to Gettysburg. Camp staff were super helpful in advising how and where to get started in our exploration of Gettysburg. Totally loved this campground. We camped at Mountain Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the town of Gettysburg. Take either the 2-CD audio driving tour of the Military Park or grab one of the bus tours. Hundreds of monuments, statues, plaques, and markers. The CD's explain the entire battle. Also, go to the diorama, the US's largest diorama of the Civil War. Also, be sure to check out Farnworth Inn (where you can get the CD's for the tour) and the adjacent Sweeney's Tavern. Both are absolutely 18th century buildings you will fall in love with.

Mahlon Dickerson Reservation, Jefferson Township, New Jersey

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained county campground. New blacktop surfaced roads and pad to set up on. Park provided water hose to faucet (60 foot away). 20/30/50 power was perfect. Verizon cell & Wi-Fi reception excellent. TV reception is not real good, but, hey, you are out in beautiful country. Trees, trails, beauty is everywhere. Not too far to stores & gas & Jefferson Diner is a great eatin' place about 7 miles away. You can see Guy Fieri's original 67 Camaro there. We camped at Mahlon Dickerson Reservation in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice and fairly new campground. Season, with lots of activities going on. Owner and staff super friendly and helpful. Sites are grass with gravel parking areas for vehicles. No Wi-Fi at our site, but Verizon Mi-Fi and IPhone Wi-Fi worked very well. We camped at Scenic Riverview Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Peppertree Campground, Eastford, Connecticut

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful campground right on a quaint river. We were here as the trees were turning colors. Owner was super helpful and friendly. We were the last group of campers for the year, as they close the day after Columbus day each year. We pull a 40' fifth wheel. Some of the sites can't accommodate really large rigs. Our back-in site was quite suitable. We camped at Peppertree Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Greenwood Lodge and Campsites, Bennington, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park. Wonderful couple who own the campground and their adult son who maintains the facility. Two gorgeous ponds, hiking trails, and really nice isolated campsites for tents and small trailers. Our 40foot fifth wheel fit nicely into a pull-thru. 30 and 50 amp service with water and Wi-Fi. We stayed 7 days. There was no sewer at the site, but a easy-to-get-to dump station on the way out. Far enough away from the highway, so the nights were quiet. Hardly any lights for miles around made watching the nite-time stars amazing. We were here just as the trees were changing colours; it was fantastic. One word of caution, GPS will try to have you enter on a back road; don't use it if you have a big rig. Instead go back about 1/4 mile towards Bennington and there is a large parking lot for the Ski Access to Prospect Skiing. Enter thru that parking lot and follow the signs to the left for the campground. Highly recommend this place. Close to Bennington and other interesting things to visit and see. We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Bennington is 7 miles away and has every kind of store you could possibly want. It is a nice town to 'stroll' the main street. There are several Diners around and they are very good. Sonny's Blue Benn Diner is awesome and the Village Chocolate Shoppe on Main street is a great place to check out. Also Henry's Meat Market and Bakkerij Krijnen (Dutch Bakery) are on Main Street. Across the street from the campground is a Gulf Gas Station with gasoline and diesel and items tailored for campers.

Ashuelot River Campground, Swanzey, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The owner, Chuck, was super friendly and helpful. Provided information for attractions to see in the area. The park was spacious, very clean, and quiet. Plenty of room to maneuver any size trailer or Class A. Very reasonable laundry ($2 for wash and $1 for dryer). If you like exploring covered bridges, this is a place to stay, with six in the near-by areas. We spent a week here and would come back in a heart-beat. Great place to stay. Our site did not have sewer, but Chuck does have a honey-pot that he will be happy to service your unit. We wanted a fire on one evening, and good ole Chuck delivered a nice stack of wood to our campsite. We camped at Ashuelot River Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
