Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Positives: Close to highway, clean restrooms, friendly staff, laundry facilities, playground, great price. Negatives: The only negative was when I called to make the reservation, no one answered the phone so I left a voice mail. However, they called me back within 30 minutes. The $27 price tag was for two adults (1 night) and being Good Sam Club members. Our 10-year daughter was with us, but spent the night with a friend in Columbia so we weren't charged for her short 2-hour stay. She absolutely LOVED the playground area. We will stay here again. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Santa Fe Trail COE, Council Grove, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very clean campground through the Army Corps of Engineers. There are only two sewer hookups (sites 1 and 2). It was very peaceful and on the outskirts of town. The on-site managers were fantastic. The sites are spacious and level with lots of trees. We also liked that it was gated. We had no dislikes about this park. We would stay there again. We camped at Santa Fe Trail COE in a Travel Trailer.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

My first impression of this park was not good in that we arrived late in the evening and was told the site information would be in a "late arrival" box. The info was not there. However, the manager had given me the gate code and site number earlier over the phone so it was no problem finding where we were supposed to go. They apologized profusely the next morning and I thought they were very friendly and nice. The restrooms, shower, and laundry areas were clean. It had a nice pool, game room, and large store. Parking was level and sites were clearly marked. I also liked that it was gated. Dogs are welcome but there are strict guidelines like with any other park. Our only dislike was the train horn at 8am. It is very loud and there's no such thing as sleeping in at this park. We were there 2 nights. We would camp there again. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Western Star RV Ranch, Liberal, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We liked that this park was level and clean. You can pick where you want to park and come in late if you need to. It also had a pool table. The folks are nice. Our dislikes were that it seemed like it was in the middle of nowhere. There was no on-site store. No trees. There was also a train track, but the train didn't bother us. We would stay here again. We camped at Western Star RV Ranch in a Travel Trailer.
