Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) , Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a destination campground where they provide entertainment. The RV park is a few minute walk from the beautiful Jackson Lake. There are hiking trails, wildlife, some of the greatest mountain views anywhere. It is 40 minutes to Jackson. We stayed here 7 nights this time, still not enough time. Make your reservations early, they fill up months ahead. We camped at Colter Bay Village RV Park -- Full Hookups (Concessionaire Operated) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Take in the area. Sit at the lake. Watch the sunset over the Tetons. Go to Jenny Lake. Walk around Jackson. Hike one (or more) of the many, many trails. Find the wildlife. Sit in the large room watching the Tetons at Jackson Lake Lodge (it's okay).

Dillon KOA, Dillon, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Typical KOA, not bad, not great. I would stay here again. Nice pool. Narrow side roads, we had a large Class A in front of us that was having trouble getting into his space due to tree limbs, but he had been here before, didn't seem to be very patient. There was a smell, traced it to the very large garbage cans that were overflowing. We camped at Dillon KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Dick's RV Park, Great Falls, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We have stayed here before. Dick's is a large older RV park, has some permanent residents, but it is quiet for the most part. Another note, they are the only place in Great Falls. We did not have cable TV while we were here, some sites did. We were here 6 nights and our cable did not seem important. We will stay here again. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Long Camp RV Park, Kamiah, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a "mom and pop" campground. Sites were level. Lots of lawn. Our site backed up to the river, but there were some mosquitos, not a big issue though. We camped at Long Camp RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We left early to go east to Lolo Pass. We didn't have another vehicle going in our direction for an hour, so, no slow traffic or someone trying to pass, nice drive.

Easy to get to campground. Well maintained. Friendly staff. This place filled up at night and also had a lot of rigs that seemed to be there for days. I don't remember seeing any permanent residents. We camped at Country Corners RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Newer park, several years old. Lots of sites, but they filled up at night. They also have rental units. Staff was very helpful. Site was level side to side. Good utilities. No shade, very young trees in each site. Very long pull-through. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp, Mount Shasta, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a destination park near Mt Shasta City. We were there with two grandsons, 9 and 11 years old. The beach area is large and has the Splash Zone which has a fee. Our grandsons spent 4 hours playing on the park's VERY large, inflatable water structures. They were exhausted but had a great day.
The park could be labeled "rustic" in appearance, but we had one of many full hookups, including cable tv. Our site was nearly level, high water pressure (80psi). The sites are fairly close together and have tables and fire pits.
We were concerned about late night noise, but we didn't hear anything from 11pm to after 8am. All of the other campers we came across were very friendly.
We were very happy with the park and will be back. We camped at Lake Siskiyou Beach and Camp in a Fifth Wheel.

Woahink Lake RV Resort, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is truly a mom and pop park. They were very friendly and helpful. The park is at the base of the dunes, no riding around in the park with ATV's but you can ride from your site to the dunes. This is an older park, but all of the paint in the restrooms was fresh and clean. There is a rec room with video machines and a pool table, all well maintained. The park has noise from the ATV's being started and then brought back in, but it was not noisy. Very quiet at night. There are tall hedges between sites. This park is all well maintained. We will stay here anytime. Also, check out the lake across the highway, if it wasn't for the dunes, this lake would make this the reason to come here. We camped at Woahink Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Seven Feathers RV Resort, Canyonville, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is connected to 7 Feathers Casino. There is a on-call shuttle service to and from the casino. There is a large in-door pool and hot tub. Everything was very clean, fairly new, and very professionally done. The sites are level concrete with lawns. All well done.

This facility is a 10. We camped at Seven Feathers RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

McCloud RV Resort, McCloud, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park. Almost all sites are lawns that are well taken care of. We arrived July 3rd, so the campground was very full. Restroom maintenance was stretched to the max, unfortunately the maintenance did not get a lot better after 3/4 of the sites were empty. We had an issue when we pitched a tent for our 17 year old grandson, the next morning the campground host came by and told us to take down the tent. We asked why and she told us it was against the park rules. We had researched this campground through this site, their web page and Good Sam, at no point did we get the impression tents were not allowed on our site. When we asked the host about this, she said "Well, I guess we have to write EVERYTHING down". This did disrupt out trip. The sites are very tight. Water pressure in the men's shower was very low all four days. It is quiet at night and most of the day. The tent issue and narrow sites were the main drawbacks. This is a pretty campground. We may be back. We camped at McCloud RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tunnel Mountain Trailer Court Campground - Full Hookups (Parks Canada), Banff National Park, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Nice National Park full hookup campground. All sites are pull-thru, on either side of the roads. Fairly plain as far as campgrounds go, but quiet, good maintenance throughout. Enter from the east end of Banff, otherwise you will go through downtown Banff. We would stay again. Site had ruts, about 3" out of level. Hinton / Jasper KOA, Hinton, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here because we couldn't get into full hookups in Jasper. We stayed in 13 RV parks on our trip, this, by far, was the nicest park of them all. Easily the nicest KOA we have ever been to. Sites are flat and gravel. Gravel interior roads and in very excellent shape. Campground is about 4 miles from town. The staff were very friendly and professional. The restroom/shower building looked like it was new this year and constantly maintained, but it is about 10 years old. Good utilities. No doubt we will return. We camped at Hinton / Jasper KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek, Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This park was a very pleasant surprise. When we saw the canyon the park is in below the main road, we were concerned about our choice of RV parks. This is a very nice park. Close to town, a couple of miles from the hot springs. Lots of lawns and lots of water in the creek. Very nice restrooms and showers. Our site had lots of space, right next to a playground. We had a pull-thru with lots of room. Bring a flashlight for walking at night, no outside lights that I remember. Quiet at night, not loud during the day. We stayed one night.

We would come back. We camped at The Canyon RV Resort on Sinclair Creek in a Fifth Wheel.

Klamath Falls KOA, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were helpful. This campground is older. The pool looked good and was being used a lot. The mosquitos were huge and lots of them. Before dark, there were over 200 nickel size mosquitos on the back of our 5th wheel, plus clouds of mosquitos flying everywhere. We decided not to leave the rig. Interior gravel roads. Gravel sites. This campground has an irrigation ditch just uphill from the sites. We will not return. We camped at Klamath Falls KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Boardman Marina Park, Boardman, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

The staff were very helpful at check-in and when I asked for road service for a flat tire. This is a nice, older park, well maintained, right on the Columbia River. We had a pull-thru, with lots of lawn. Neighbors are in front of site and behind the site. Lots of lawns out the trailer door. The back-in sites near us backed toward the river, real nice. There are walking trails along the Columbia. Wifi was good. We camped at Boardman Marina Park in a Fifth Wheel.
