Date of Stay: April, 2006
This was the second time we camped here and both were excellent, the Trading post was only open on the weekend in April but all week after 15 of May. The play ground was new and clean but was in an open area which made the slides hot, this is a good area in early morning or late in the afternoon. some of the camp sites were a little sloping so take something to level up with. The only draw back is the gravel road get a little dusty but take the water hose and wet the road down around you site to keep the dust down. We will be back for Memorial day week for three days and gain in September. Great place to get away from the rat race and rest.

Although this park is small it is a great getaway for rest with trails and a park museum. It allows easy acess to two great lakes. Easy to make Reservations through state parks web site. We stayed in the RV section and camped in a tent (tent section was full of scouts but they were quite a mouses) but we now have a popup trailer for our next visit this fall. Good for a stop over on hwy 11 or a week of rest!!
