Coffee Creek RV Resort, Santo, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Electric & Sewer good, Water @ 60 psi. Did not use WiFi which is provided by Tengo. Verizon Cell Phone is very good. Verizon Data is very good. Cable is good. Sites are long with plenty of room between them. Sites are gravel and level both directions. Roads are Asphalt and gravel. Restrooms are outstanding. Didn't use the Laundry but it is good. One nonworking machine. There are some long term tenants. Most are in good order. DirecTV Satellite is easy because there are no trees. Payment by credit card is acceptable. This is a nice park. The office personnel are very good and extremely helpful. I would have no problem staying here again when I am in the area. We camped at Coffee Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clutter in laundry room is in the way of some machines. No long term tenants. DirecTV Satellite is easy access. Payment with credit card. This is a nice park and the owners are very friendly. Whistle Stop RV and Antiques, Colby, Kansas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Electric & Sewer good, Water @35 psi static but drops to about 25psi when being used. Sites are front to back so that the power sewer and water are located in the same place. There is only one water hydrant for two sites and there is no wye for two use the water. Campers came in next to me and removed my equipment so they can get water even though there were many open sites they could stay at. Wi-Fi is available. I didn't use it but the signal seems to be weak. AT&T Cell Phone good. Verizon Cell Phone very good. AT&T Air Card good. Verizon Air Card good. Cable Very Good. Site Size long enough to keep your tow vehicle connected. Sites are level enogh both side and front/back. Site Closeness fairly close. Can put out awning if desired. Interior roads are gravel and dirt. Did not use restrooms or Laundry. A few contractors are staying but no one permanent. DirecTV Satellite easy to access. No discounts. Sites are $35. Pay with check or cash in envelope. For this campground this is to high for what you get. This is not a bad campground for a few nights, however the grass burrs are a real pain. They get on your pet and shoes getting a lot inside the RV.. I carried my dog across the street to the Walmart and walked him around the nice grass area. I would go to another campground if I could find one but would stay here again for a couple of days if I had too.. We camped at Whistle Stop RV and Antiques in a Fifth Wheel.

Amana Colonies RV Park, Amana, Iowa

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Electric is good. Sewer is good but the connection is 4/6" above ground causing poor empting of the black tank. Water about 45psi. Wi-Fi is provided by Tengo. I didn't use it. Verizon cell is good and Verizon data is good. No Cable. Sites long but back to back. The bad part is that they have the shore facilities in one area for four RV's. This puts two RV's close to the off door side of the RV. Can't put awning out and if one dumps sewer it is on the door side of the two RVs. The other two RV's have a very large open area on their door side. Roads are white gravel and have many rough spots and pot holes. Didn't use restrooms or laundry. DirecTV Satellite is accessible in most places. Payment can be made with credit card. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Amana Colonies RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Electric & Sewer good, Water @ 60psi. Wi-Fi none. AT&T Cell Phone Good. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card Good. No Cable. My Site was acceptable. Could back in far enough that the back of the trailer extended over the back concrete barrier giving me enough room to park truck on site. Site Size was wide enough and level. Sites are far apart from each other. Great grass area behind the site to walk the dog. Roads are asphalt and were being repaved as I was leaving. DirecTV Satellite was easy to access. Payment was with credit card. We camped at Crow's Creek Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park especially if you like music. It seems many in the park play an instrument, but that is understandable because of the school and talent around this town are many.. They have many free music jams around town. Outstanding talent displayed at these town parks.

Basswood Resort, Platte City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Electric & Sewer good, Water @ 60psi. AT&T Cell Phone weak. Had trouble making calls out. AT&T Air Card would not come up. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card ok but not great. Cable is very good. Site gravel and level all ways. Site Size was narrow and short for a 38ft 5th wheel and TV. Site was fairly close but could put out awning. Roads asphalt. Didn't use Restrooms. Laundry was acceptable but not great. Quite a few Long term tenants but they kept neat sites. They are kept in a localized area. Could get DirecTV Satellite but only way out to the end of the site due to trees. Sites in the middle would have been much easier. Road going to the back sites required you to go on a narrow road. Very close to only one lane. Payment was by credit card. We camped at Basswood Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Belle Starr COE, Stigler, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

50,30 & 20amp Electric good, Sewer is a dump on the way out. Water @ 60 psi. Wi-Fi not available. AT&T Cell Phone Good 4bars. AT&T Air Card very good. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card good. Cable not available but can get Over the Air fairly good. Site #22 is outstanding. Very wide, exceptionally long and lots of room between sites. Roads to the park are good. Interior roads look bad but are asphalt and cracked but not rough. The new Restroom near the play ground is outstanding. However the older ones are pretty sad. Laundry not available. DirecTV Satellite is accessible depending how your dish is used. Most are good if your dish is on a tripod but if on the roof may be a problem depending on your site. Discount available for Golden Age and America the Beautiful for 50%. Payment by credit card online is good. About the park. A lot of it was damaged by the recent floods. The 30amp sites are mainly older sites. Water is shared between sites and is way far away so have a lot of water hose. Sites range from very small to good in length, a little small in width for the 30amp and be careful when pulling into the site. The sites that were damaged have been upgraded to 50,30,20 Amp and are asphalt with a large pad and patio. These are very good and most are now Walk in. Get one of these if you can if you have a large RV. I would absolutely stay here again especially if I can get one of the newer 50amp sites. We camped at Belle Starr COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you like history you might go to the Information Center in Eufaula and find out where the Belle Starr grave is located and take about a 20 mile trip to Robbers Cave. Belle Starr and the Younger Gang ran here and stayed in Robbers Cave. Lady Bird Landing is where Lady Bird Johnson came to visit in a Helicopter when LBJ dedicated Lake Eufaula. A monument is in Lady Bird Landing CoE park.

50a Electric good, Sewer is a dump on the way out, water @ 100 psi and not close to the site. Some sites that are on the curve of the road have water on the wrong side of the site. Wi-Fi is not available. AT&T Cell Phone fair with 2 bars. AT&T Air Card is strong. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is good but not as fast as AT&T. Cable not available. Site #44 is level and long enough for my 5th wheel & truck to be on the same site. Site width is good and have plenty of room for awnings. Also much open area to walk your dog. Internal road is asphalt and in good condition. Didn't use restrooms. DirecTV Satellite is good if your not close to trees. Golden Age passport allows a 50% discount. Payment for walk in is by check. If you like to hear country music "That Country Music Place" 3 miles toward Durant is great music only on Friday, music and dancing on Saturday night both start about 7pm. No alcohol. Concession stand inside.
Also the casino is in Durant if you want to gamble or go bowling. Bring your boat if you want to fish. A boat ramp is close to the 50amp sites.

Electric, Sewer & Water are good. Electric pedestals were wobbly. Didn't use Wi-Fi. AT&T Cell Phone fair. AT&T Air Card good. Better than Verizon. Cable was very poor and few channels. Site's are good. Pull throughs are long, wide and plenty of room between each one. The back in sites are pretty soft when it rains, but you have plenty of room behind and around the sites. Surface is small reddish gravel and dirt. Road into the park is a little rough but no real problem and inside the park it is all red gravel and dirt also. They have full restrooms which are very nice. Laundry is ok. DirecTV Satellite is easy to access. Payment with credit card is OK. I would come back here when in the area. Oak Creek RV Park, Weatherford, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

20/30/50 Electric & Sewer good, Water@40 psi. Wi-Fi is by Tengointernet. You get a coupon to access the internet. You must give them your first and last name and email address. They will email you a logon and password associated to your coupon number. I prefer not to give my name and email address to someone I don't know. I didn't use the WiFi. AT&T Cell Phone has a strong signal with 4/5 bars. AT&T Air Card was very fast. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card has a mediocre signal. Cable has about 50 channels and most are good. Sites are concrete and grass between. Plenty of room to put our your awning. Long and wide enough to handle Big Rig RV's. Road to the park is good and all inside the park are concrete. Restrooms are outstanding. They are all inclusive with all restroom & shower in one room. I am impressed. Laundry is big and clean. Long term tenants are through out the park but they are well kept. DirecTV Satellite is possible in probably the majority of the sites even with a number of large trees through out the park. Good Sam Discount is available. Payment with credit card is available. This is an outstanding park. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Oak Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Great BBQ if you go to Exit 386 about 5 miles and has a big rocking chair out front. Go to Exit 408 and drive down main street of Weatherford. Good shops and restaurants and a Gibson's store that you should visit. Only two in Texas and the original is in Kerrville TX. If they don't have it you don't need it... Take a good look at the Local Attractions sheet handed out by the office. The office has coffee and hot chocolate any time you want it, free..

Overall Rating:

Electric 50/30/20 Amp & Sewer good, Water @ 60psi. Wi-Fi requires a pass code. AT&T Cell Phone signal is good. AT&T Air Card is weak. Verizon 4G LTE Air Card is very good. Cable has few channels and not very good. Over the air is better. Site reasonable. Nothing to far off level to make a difference. My Site Size was small both in length and width. I could not put out my awning but this was the only site that was this small. Site have grass between them and most are long enough for average and some big RV's. Roads and sites are gravel. Restrooms private and are great. Laundry is good. Washer is $2 and drier is $1.25. There are some long term tenants but the sites are reasonable. DirecTV Satellite is good in most sites unless your dish is mounted on your RV then you need to ask for a specific site. Discounts are good for Escapees or Passport America. Payment with credit card has an extra charge unless you pay by cash or check. There is a nice pond for catch and release Perch. Hosts are very nice and friendly. This is a nice laid back park and I will be back here again when in the area. We camped at Schulenburg RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

RiverBend RV Park and Campground, Luling, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Electric depending on the site you are assigned. Some have only 50a, some have only 30a. Sewer and water are from the city and water pressure is high @ 80psi. Wi-Fi weak. AT&T Cell Phone Good. AT&T Air Card is weak compared to the Verizon 4G LTE Air Card which is very good. No Cable. Site close to level. Sites are fairly Close but wide enough to put out awnings. Would like a bit more room. Roads are dirt with some gravel. Restrooms are nice and are generally clean. Laundry has plenty of washers and dryers at $1 each. There are long term tenants that stay here but sites are neat and clean. DirecTV Satellite no problem from most sites. Discounts 50% Escapees and Passport America. Credit Card accepted. There was a tree branch that I was concerned about and they came right out and trimmed the tree and were very friendly. There also is a private horse racing track next door and you can watch them run the horses about 9am in the morning. If you do travel with a horse you can stable the horse here for the night also. This park is pet friendly and they have lots of room to walk your pet. I would stay here again when in the area. We camped at RiverBend RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
