Pohick Bay Regional Park, Lorton, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Staff very friendly and helpful in finding us a site for an extra few days during a busy weekend. Well maintained park and facilities. We chose a site without a water connection, but water is available near the office. One of the best campgrounds in the Washington, D.C. area. We camped at Pohick Bay Regional Park in a Motorhome.

Ames Brook Campground, Ashland, New Hampshire

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We visit Ames Brook once or twice a year for a 3-4 night stay. The owners meticulously maintain all aspects of the campground. We particularly enjoy our fall visits when the foliage is at peak, and in time to visit the Sandwich Fair nearby. We camped at Ames Brook Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Easy day trip to Franconia Notch State Park, Polly's Pancake Parlor in Sugar Hill, NH (a must!), hiking, leaf peaking. Also a perfect spot to relax by a stream and read.

Mountain View Campground, Sullivan, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Our second visit, a four night stay. About a 30 mile drive to Bar Harbor, well worth the drive. Lovely campground on the water, quiet, nicely maintained, pleasant amount of space between sites. Looking forward to another visit. We camped at Mountain View Campground in a Motorhome.
