Cape Kiwanda RV Resort, Pacific City, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

After reading previous reviews I expected this to be an amazing campground. It is not. The front area has been well maintained; nice store, nice check-in, but the rest of the park is showing lots of wear and tear. The asphalt roads and sites are in bad shape; my site had plastic bags stuck in the bushes and there was dog poop all over a park model yard. The plants were not maintained and the grass, what there is of it, was mostly brown. My site, for $51.00 was worth about $21.00. The place was packed; screaming kids, some seasonals with older and not well maintained rigs, etc. Overall it was very overpriced and would not stay again or recommend it. As an aside, I stayed in a park/resort the night before in another location of Oregon - right on the water/bay with beautiful amenities, grass between asphalt sites, impeccably maintained - for $37.00. Much more for the value. We camped at Cape Kiwanda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Shubie Campground, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is near a highway; if you don't like road noise avoid it. I was put in a spot for a 25 ft. when I told them I had a 34 ft. My truck stuck out on road while unhooking. The site was on the main road going in and out of the ball field and dog area; it was constant traffic on a dirt road for hours. Children and dogs would not be safe in these spots. They had bumpers to slow people down farther up, but as soon as drivers were over them they speeded up. My camper and truck were filthy dirty within 2 hours from dust. The back-in site was exactly opposite of what it should be for hook-ups. I was able to reach but the spot really was meant for a small van not a travel trailer. Ridiculously priced for what you received. No Wi-Fi because - you're too far to get it....but of course those who are too far are charged for it anyways (in the nightly rate). Would not recommend. We camped at Shubie Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Century Farm Family Campground, St. Martins, New Brunswick

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Great park; hardly anyone there; had amazing view of Bay of Fundy and beginning of Fundy Trail. Clean. The owner wasn't as friendly as I anticipated, but I'm sure it might have been just a bad day. Stayed three days. My site was right across from the beach, and I enjoyed walking it. The little town is very quaint, and I'd visit again. We camped at Century Farm Family Campground in a Motorhome.

Sunset Point Campground, Harrington, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2011 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

I agree with the other reviewers. This is my first entry into traveling with an RV, and a woman alone; I traveled from Florida to Nova Scotia, and I had two wonderful campgrounds, this being one of them. The owner saw that I might need extra help and was very nice. I enjoyed the lobster delivered to my site and they made me feel special. I was about the only one in the campground as it was May which made it even more special. I'll go back on my way thru. We camped at Sunset Point Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
