Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Overall Rating:
Not happy. Site is really tight going in, and I may not be able to get out without unhooking my car. And, worst of all it's not even level. All for only $50+. Staff guy who lead me to spot was rude too. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

others have said, excellent sites, good electricity. But, do not bother making a reservation. There is no system in place to actually reserve a spot for you. When I called ahead about late arrival, I was told to just pick a spot then go to hotel to register. No spot was saved for me. We camped at Meskwaki RV Park in a Motorhome.

MacMillen RV Park, Fort Davis, Texas
Date of Stay:
March, 2016 -
$29.00
Overall Rating:
As others have said, not deluxe, not KOA, just a good basic campground. Nice big, level sites. Close to town, but not too close. Very quiet. Oddly enough there was no train. I thought all campgrounds were required to have a train. We'd definitely stay here again. We camped at MacMillen RV Park in a Motorhome.
Definitely see Fort Davis and the MacDonald Observatory. Several good restaurants in town.

Hard to get to at night due to narrow roads, but worth the trip. This was by far the quietest campground we've ever been in. No trains, no Planes, no Freeway noise. Almost spooky quiet. Nice lady runs the place. We may go back just for the peace and quiet. We camped at Springfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Branson Lakeside RV Park, Branson, Missouri
Date of Stay:
August, 2013 -
$33.00
Overall Rating:
A fairly nice park, but there are problems. We paid for the "Premium" site on the water. That was a mistake. First - these sites are fairly narrow and use the alternating direction parking so our door and our neighbor's door faced each other. Our awnings were about six inches apart. Second - they forgot to mention that the road between the front row and the lake is public access to fishing. So there was always someone near us fishing. At night, cars would roar down that road at 40+. And, of course, on the morning we were leaving, someone parked right in the way so it was difficult to get out of our spot with toad attached. Location is good, price is right, but if you go here, avoid the front row. We camped at Branson Lakeside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sioux City North KOA, North Sioux City, South Dakota
Date of Stay:
August, 2013 -
$43.00
Overall Rating:
As others have said, this park is pretty cramped. We asked for a pull thru with motorhome towing. Site not long enough with car hooked up so had to hook up at entrance. Streets are very narrow so tough getting even our 30 foot motorhome out of the site without the car. Very close to the Interstate and noisy when you don't have to run AC. Otherwise, clean and well managed. We camped at Sioux City North KOA in a Motorhome.

Atlanta Marietta Campground, Marietta, Georgia
Date of Stay:
March, 2013 -
$40.00
Overall Rating:
As others have mentioned, it's tight and the speed bumps are atrocious. Most of them are all scraped and grooved from vehicles dragging their undercarriages. Even more scary, however, is that the water faucet outlets are about six inches away from the sewer outlet, actually right above it. Can't see how you can hook up without touching the water outlet with your sewer hose. To make matters worse, my site and the one adjacent had what appeared to be massive sewage dumps for about 4 feet around the sewer pipe. Probably there was a backup with resulting overflow. No one had done anything about cleaning up the toilet paper and other stuff all around the pipe. Needless to say, we didn't hook up our water hose. This is a significant health hazard. We camped at Atlanta Marietta Campground in a Motorhome.

We really enjoyed this park. Nice wide sites - good electricity - good water without stinky after smell. No sewer hookup, of course, but just fine for a few nights stay. Quiet too. We camped at Farr Park Campground & Horse Activity Center in a Motorhome.
