Northampton / Springfield KOA, Westhampton, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly and helpful...this is your typical koa, sites ar close together but they are level and the services worked great....campground is big rig friendly, most sites are gravel with very little shade and no barrier between sites...good ATT service and WiFi was ok, but we used hotspots instead...the laundry that I used had one washer and two drivers but they and/or it worked fine.....the restrooms were ok but the shower had a small problem, when someone was doing a load of wash the water for shower would stop when washer was filling or rinsing, at first I didn't realize what was happening but I figured it out I think, with a head full shampoo and no water, so I waited and yes the water came back on and off several more times but I managed to get my shower in, so beware...management was told of problem....but like other reviews the showers could use a makeover and more stalls...a little bit of a drive from interstate but we did it with our 36' mh pulling toad, a lot of places to eat and shop in nearby towns.... We camped at Northampton / Springfield KOA in a Motorhome.

Greenwood Lodge and Campsites, Bennington, Vermont

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in the country where it is quiet and peaceful....our site was very shady, level and had privacy from the next site....electric and water were good, no sewers but easy to get to dump station....the owners are very friendly and helpful...we had no ATT cell service but had decent WiFi....got a few over the air tv channels....beautiful location for visiting the surrounding area, a lot of shopping and good places to eat...shower and restrooms are in the main building, they are small but manageable....they have sites that are open next to a lake but we choose the woods....we would stay here again.... We camped at Greenwood Lodge and Campsites in a Motorhome.

The office staff and employees were great and very friendly...our site was dirt and gravel and was fairly level using only a few leveling blocks....their were some trees between sites so you had some privacy....the services worked great with a lot of cable channels....cell signal ATT was ok and wifi was alright....there is a lot of activities for kids and families.....laundry, showers and restrooms were clean and very spacious....this is a great location for checking out the area, especially mount washing which is about a 30 minute drive....we would stay here again if in the area...... Seawall Campground (NPS Campground), Southwest Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a National Park campground so of course, no hookups. Site was fairly level and grass with a lot of shade. The first 10 sites are side by side so your neighbor will be very close, so choose sites starting with 11. Water spigots throughout the campground and dump station is in a good location. We were 36' and managed the roads but I wouldn't go any bigger, just enough room for the toad. Restrooms were some the best I've seen in a national park campground. Staff was very friendly and helpful especially the park ranger lady. She helped us a lot. A great location for seeing the park and the seawall is right across the street from the campground: you can walk, bike or drive. Beautiful location and we would definitely come back. We camped at Seawall Campground (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Bar Harbor / Oceanside KOA, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was some of the nicest people I've ever meet, they lead you to your site and help you get backed in and will do anything for you, my hats off to them...all sites seem to be fairly level and the campground is big rig friendly...our site was gravel but some are grass...we only had electric, water and cable which all worked great....we had some shade but some sites do not.....we requested a water front site and boy this is the best spot in the campground, in my opinion...the water was at the most 150' or less from our spot...restrooms and showers were clean with plenty of hot water....cell service and wifi were good, with about 45 cable channels....the campground has lobster dinners on the weekends cooked right in the campground...would definitely stay here again.... Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was excellent and helpful....the roads thru the park are narrow with tight turns so you may hit some branches with a big rig, ours was 36' but we managed....most sites are somewhat sloped either way, side to side or front to back but there are some level sites.....sites are private and very shady..only electric here but there are water spigots throughout the park so you can fill your tank...dump station is tight but available....ATT cell service was ok and we used our hotspots for wifi...no tv channels here.....restrooms and showers are clean with plenty of hot water....the beach area is across the street, you can walk or drive and view the bay of Fundy....we would stay here again.... The staff was excellent and the sites are level, gravel lots with some shade depending on your location...as with most KOA's the sites are close but not too bad....the roads are narrow but manageable with our 36' with toad, watch out for the children and people walking....all services worked well, ATT signal was fine and we used our hotspots for wifi, although their wifi was ok at times....only got 2 channels with our antenna....the showers, restrooms and laundry were all clean with plenty of hot water....once again this is a very family oriented park with a lot for the kids to do...this campground is a great location for visiting the Halifax area....we would stay here again..... Plage St Pierre Beach and Campground, Cheticamp, Nova Scotia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The employees working around the campground and check in were very nice...the sites are fairly level and grassy...like others have said the sites are very close to each other and the pull thrus face each other which is a negative for us, but we had great neighbors and there are a lot of permanent sites but overall the campground is clean and looks nice...our services worked great and our Att cell signal was ok, so we used our hotspots instead of their wifi...picked up 20 channels with the antenna...the showers and restrooms were clean with plenty of hot water...the campground is a close walk to the beach and has a lot to do for kids and families...the roads can be a little tight for a big rig, but they are manageable, so unhook your toad before going to your site...we would stay here again.... My Brother's Place Campground, Houlton, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The road into the park is narrow but manageable with our 36' with toad. The sites are nice, grassy sites that are large and level with some shade. All services worked good, only a couple of channels on antenna. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn't use the restrooms or showers since this was just a over night stop. The campground is close to everything you need and 3 miles from the Canadian boarder. Cell service was good and wifi was great.

We don't like the way the pull thrus are setup: your neighbor is setup up facing you. We like all pull thrus going the same way, just one man's opinion. We'd stay here again if passing thru. We camped at My Brother's Place Campground in a Motorhome.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $61.00
Overall Rating:

All roads are big rig friendly...the sites are grass or mostly dirt..sites are fairly level and as most Koa's go the sites are somewhat close but I've seen worse...all services worked great, and I will give a SHOUT out to this campground, they warn you about high water pressure, in excess of 100 psi and I checked it with my gauge and it only goes to 100....so be warned use your reducer...best pressure I've ever seen....good cable, wifi slow so we used our hotspots, ATT had fair cell service...the showers were alright, they could use a upgrade but once again I've seen worse and they were clean....this is very family oriented campground with a lot for the kids to do...this is a great location if you want to explore the Boston, cape cod area and there is some noise from the road traffic outside the park but it didn't keep us up....we'd stay here again if in the area.... Geneva State Park, Geneva, Ohio

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground close to the lake. The sites are asphalt and mostly level, but manageable with a couple of leveling blocks. Sites 1-37 do not have as much shade as the sites on the back loop. All sites have electric, we had 30 amps, but not sure about the other sites. There are water spigots around the campground to fill your fresh water tank, no sewer hookups but there is a dump station. NOTE that there are only 4 fhu sites out of the 100 sites. Showers and restrooms were clean, plenty of hot water. This park has some nice hiking and bike riding trails. The beach is a short drive from campground. Overall we like the location and the campground and will stay again. Also big rig friendly.. We camped at Geneva State Park in a Motorhome.

This park is back off the main drag, the road to the park is gravel but ok....our site was level and shady and all services worked ok.....the pull thrus are close together but we were only here for the night...didn't use showers or restrooms....they have a small kitchen in office and they will fix things like pizza or burgers, we has pizza and for the price it was very good, along with salad and drinks, including beer....they also serve breakfast.....the owners are very friendly....good ATT signal, wifi was not good at our spot so we used our hotspots....got about 15 channels over the air...all in all good valve for your dollar, would stay here again. Pinyon Flats (NPS Campground), Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in loop 1 which is first come first served....we were able to maneuver our 36' mh ok but I wouldn't go much bigger, there are very few spots for a mh this size in this loop but there are some, leveling in some of the spots is challenging, but manageable....of course there are no hookups and didn't use the restrooms....this loop has some excellent views of the dunes and the surrounding mountains....ATT cell service was almost not existent so wifi or using your hotspot is not good...the host was very friendly and accommodating....most of the pull thru sites are just pull overs on the road so stepping out of your vehicle can be close to vehicle traffic....this is a typical national park campground and in our opinion is worth the price...we would stay here again.....
