Lavonia COE, Lavon, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects Senior Parks Card. I really can't say much good about this park. First, the roads are not in good shape. The sites are NOT level by any means; although, they were paved. Signs said no open fires, but there were several in the camp grounds at night. Campground host appeared to be disabled and it didn't look like he even checked on anything. Lastly, the electric. Says we were to have 30 amp. A big sticker on the electric box said we were limited to 24 amps. Since we really didn't need a lot of electricity, we thought 'OK'. Bad news was that even when I just turned on the microwave, (12 amps), the voltage went down to 90 Volts. Definitely not good for anything electrical or electronic. In the morning so that we could use the coffee maker, microwave, hair dryer, I just started the generator. Probably not supposed to, but they are supposed to provide 30 amp, 110 v electricity. I was visiting family nearby so that is why I chose this place to stay, but would NOT stay again or recommend it to anyone in anything more than a tent. We camped at Lavonia COE in a Motorhome.

Airport Park COE, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2013 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent COE park. Sparkling clear showers and restrooms although we did not use them. Our site did not have sewer, but it was not a problem as we were only there 1 night. Quiet, lake front, beautiful, treed, and level. I would stay again. I think this would be a great park for a longer stay, but make sure you get a site with sewer. We camped at Airport Park COE in a Motorhome.

Cages Bend COE, Gallatin, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park, very quiet. Very large sites with great picnic area and fire ring at each site. Only downside is no sewer hookup. This was not a problem as we only stayed two nights, but a longer stay would have required moving the rig to dump. Price reflects Senior Discount. We camped at Cages Bend COE in a Motorhome.

Foothills RV Park, Pigeon Forge, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

A really nice park above the highway and noise. You actually drive through another large RV park to get there. Very clean, quiet, clean restrooms and showers. Great pool. Plenty of room for slide and awning with picnic tables provided. Trolley stop is right out front. We would definitely stay there again. We camped at Foothills RV Park in a Motorhome.
