We really almost didn't come back due to the negative reviews but we're sure glad we did. This was our second visit to Cherrystone, our first visit being 8 years ago. I was very pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this visit. I didn't notice any unpleasant workers nor did I think the facilities weren't up to par. Yes there were some bad spots in the roads, but primarily in the area of the campground most exposed to bad winds and weather. It's still a treat to have the on-site produce and seafood market, the general store has no rivals, and the food in the restaurant was surprisingly good. All day long trash pickups, lots of activities for young and old, and unbelievable scenery equate to the fact that we'll definitely return.

Had a great week at this well run campground. Staff couldn't be more helpful. If I were to come back I would choose a site along the fenceline, at the front, or in the far back. The Premium sites definitely are nicer. Lots to do in and around the area and we did not need a car. Wi-Fi worked well and there is a lovely pool.

Gorgeous place! We had a lakefront site and it was heavenly. I can't say anything bad about this place other than the fact that it is in a little bit of a remote area and you definitely need a car to get around. Lots to do though if you just want to kick back and relax. We enjoyed the lake and jogging on the beautiful path around it. We will definitely be back.
