Lucy's Place RV Park, La Veta, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The park has new owners. You won't find a park owner more dedicated to making sure your stay is enjoyable. We had an issue with a truck blocking our Tailgater satellite and she moved another picnic table to our site to give us enough height for the satellite to see over the truck. The park is an older park with smaller sites but very well kept. It is close to downtown and close to Cuchara. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Lucy's Place RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Tips for other Campers:

Alys' restaurant is almost next door to the park. It offers great meals. The Corners Cafe is a block down the street and had very good breakfasts. Note that the restaurants in town seemed to be closed on Wednesdays. Two more places for good food are in nearby Cuchara. The Dog Bar has outstanding burgers and the Timbers has excellent evening meals.

Sky Mountain Resort RV Park, Chama, New Mexico

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

The park has back in and pull through sites with some sites next to the Rio Chama river. It's conveniently located to downtown Chama and and the Cumbres Toltec railroad. The owners are on site and go out of their way to to keep the park, restrooms and laundry clean and we'll maintained. We had a very level site. This was our second time to stay here and plan to return. We especially want to thank the owners for making sure we had an enjoyable stay. We camped at Sky Mountain Resort RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Angostura SRA, Hot Springs, South Dakota

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We found this gem while looking for a place to shelter off of the highway due to high winds. The park was almost deserted since it was mid-October. There are multiple campgrounds around the lake and I was very impressed with the clean restrooms and how well all of the sites were maintained. Our site had water and electric and was very level. We would definitley stay here again. We camped at Angostura SRA in a Truck Camper.

Bridge RV Park & Campground, White Salmon, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

As others have stated there is noise from the trains that run next to the park but this is true for most parks along I90. The noise did not bother us and we were in a site next to the tracks. The owners are friendly and the park is very well maintained. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Bridge RV Park & Campground in a Truck Camper.

Very friendly and helpful owner. He escorted us to our site and decided he had another site that was better suited for using a Dish Tailgater. The site wagravel and perfectly level. All hookups well located. The bathrooms and showers were immaculate. I'm not sure how old this park is but everything looks fairly new and very well maintained. The park is located in a beautiful area. I think this is one of the nicest RV parks we have ever stayed in. I would definitely recommend this park. We camped at Nugget RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Western Hills Campground, Rawlins, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here four days while exploring the sites around the area. It is a very large gravel area and it does get windy. On the plus side it appears to be a relatively new campground and is well managed. It is close to downtown and has easy access to the interstate and the mountains. We would definitely stay here again for over night or a short stay. We camped at Western Hills Campground in a Truck Camper.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Not sure on the price but it was around $31. The site was OK with some sun. We arrived early in the afternoon with the temperature around 93 and a heat advisory in effect. As the park started filling around 5:30 pm we had our first power failure. The camper next ours immediately went to the office and was told they would check on it. The power came back on a few minutes later. Someone from the office came by and said they had someone on the way to check it out but I never heard back from them. The park was full that night and we had several more brief outages. This didn't make for a very pleasant night with temperatures this hot. I don't know if everyone was impacted or just those around on our row. It is an older park and I don't know if the infrastructure was over loaded or the problem was with the power company. We camped at Salina KOA in a Truck Camper.

Coachlight RV Park, Carthage, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for one night and we're so impressed we will definitely return for a longer stay to visit the area. We arrived just as they were closing for the evening and we're immediately escorted to our site. The interior roads are asphalt and well maintained. They sites are gravel but level with well cared for hookups. The host provided us with a 2 page handout that explains everything from the campground cable stations and wifi to the surrounding Carthage area. You can tell from the first meeting with the host and reading the handout that they understand how to run a RV park. Most of the site's are pull through and well shaded. If you plan to use a satellite be sure to request a site that has a line of site too meet your requirements. We camped at Coachlight RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Dale Hollow State Resort Park, Burkesville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful setting close to the Dale Hollow State Park Lodge and marina. Some of the vloopscare full hookups and others have water and electric only. Most sites are level and later out with 8 pads at each loop in a circular pattern. There are two playground areas and 3 restrooms with showers and laundry facilities. The lodge has a restaurant, small store at the park with limited items and there is a small convenience store a few miles away. If needed more supplies it is necessary to travel to one of the surrounding towns about 18 to 25 miles away. We camped at Dale Hollow State Resort Park in a Truck Camper.

Duck Creek RV Park, Paducah, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very short drive to the old down town and river front part of Paducah. It is also close to the National Quilt Museum. The park owners are very friendly and helpful. There is a mix of long and short term sites. Even though some of the sites are close to a major road it is very quiet and the road noise was hardly noticeable. The bathrooms, showers and laundry room were some of the cleanest we have ever seen in a RV park. Some reviewers mentioned that there is only one mens, womens and a handicapped bathroom. While true this did not result in any problems for us during our 4 night stay. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Duck Creek RV Park in a Truck Camper.

Many restaurants in the old part of downtown. The Gold Rush Cafe has excellent food. There is amble free parking on Broadway close to the river front.
