Lightner Creek Campground, Durango, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, shady & quiet during our stay. Park helpers were exceptionally nice. Pet friendly. Great place to stay while visiting attractions near Durango. We stayed 3 days and loved it. No cable TV, but there are 5 over air channels available with a little antennae turning and we did not miss cable at all. On my list of top 10 in NW states. They closed this year on September 1. We camped at Lightner Creek Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Best RV campsite/park we have ever stayed in. Really nice large, shady site. Plenty of room for big rigs. Clean, quiet, out of mainstream traffic with deer sometimes walking unconcerned right through camp. All lots have been leveled and covered with red granite gravel which does not appear to make any dust at all. This was a Premium lot with a low price. Great personal contact with staff. Will definitely stay here again when traveling through this area. No television except personal satellite. Good Wi-Fi. Back-in spot was easy due to size of lot. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
