Pinyon Flats (NPS Campground), Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The sites were beautiful and very clean. Our site was shaded, but the trees on the street had a lot of dead limbs and overhanging limbs that made it difficult to park our 30 foot RV. We had to parallel park in a rather small space and were barely off the main road with our slides out. The park is more geared to tents and small units. The bathrooms were clean but there were no showers. We had a buck come and visit us in our site. We camped at Pinyon Flats (NPS Campground) in a Motorhome.

Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins , Buena Vista, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2011 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 1 month and were pleased with the obvious pride they take in maintaining the grounds. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and did whatever they could to make our stay memorable. They watched out for us if we spent a night away, helped us plan our trips, and always greeted us with a smile. They had activities that were entertaining and a great little store. We would return without hesitation. The bathrooms, showers, and the laundry facilities were immaculate. The sites had fire pits and beautiful views of the surrounding fourteeners. Quiet hours were respected and the road noise was minimal. We camped at Arrowhead Point Campground and Cabins in a Motorhome.
