There are many parks that can accommodate RV's in the Bodega Bay area, but few rank as high in total quality and manager involvement as this one. We have been regular return visitors for several stays each year, and always come away with a feeling of "what a great park". The sites are on a slight descending tier but very level, with solid gravel, excellent hookups (water pressure is a bit light but not a problem) and fantastic Wi-Fi. The park is currently adding separators between sites that are nicely done and a constant maintenance program is in affect - which shows. You won't find cleaner restrooms or grounds. There is little vegetation between sites and some grass (which goes away during the summer) but the area immediately around the park has plenty of room to stretch out. You can easily walk to an adjacent state park for ocean access. At night you can often hear the faint sound of the Bodega Bay fog horn which is a reminder of how near the water you are without exposure to wind. The park planted several trees around the property border several years ago which have grown to provide an excellent barrier to wind which is prevalent in Bodega Bay. The park sits on the north outside boundary of the town, and in an extremely quiet location. It is a park well prepared for fishermen providing a cleaning station and is close enough to catch a fishing party boat at the harbor. In all the visits we have made, something within the park infrastructure is always being upgraded or improved so expect this one to just continue to get better. Check the park website for photos which are true in representation. Our favorite thing about Bodega Bay RV Park is the fact that it is still family owned (parents built the park in 1967 and the son still owns KOA high prices and marketing here !!). Best of all, the onsite managers have been there close to 20 years and take an active role in what happens for quality control. It's a winning combination. The cost is very reasonable and if you plan to return, get on their email list for regular specials. High marks for this one, you won't be disappointed.

This is our absolute favorite full service RV park when visiting Trinidad, which we do several times each year. We have found the facilities to "always" be clean, welcoming, and impeccably maintained. The owner spends a great deal of time personally working the property and as he lives on site is available for questions. We brought our entire family here for a reunion, so had several sites and rented a cabin for those that did not have rigs. The cabin was clean and well stocked and reasonably priced. We camped in the Super Sites, so had lots of space with an distant ocean view, and great privacy. Other sites have ample room, but not quite the amenities as the super sites. You may want to ask for the lower sites that back towards a shaded view of the ocean. On a visit 2 years ago we had a problem with our 5th wheel slide on a Holiday. The owner was most helpful to direct me to the best repair location in the area and came by several times to make sure we were OK. Much can be written about the surrounding area including one of the jewels of the California State Park system (Patrick's Point State Park). The other must see places are too many to list here, but look in the office to find good information or ask the owner. If you are looking for a quality RV park in the best location while visiting Trinidad, Sounds of the Sea is your best bet.
