Moab Rim RV Campark & Cabins, Moab, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is Moab's newest campground featuring lovely grass tent sites and RV spaces located two miles South of town on the West side of Hwy 191. While it is sited near a busy roadway, heavy truck noise was moderate. The rate listed reflects the Passport America discount valid only Sunday through Thursday nights. The desirable park was nearly full in the Fall season, so advance reservations are advised, but not required. Only cash or checks are accepted with any discounted rate. We camped at Moab Rim RV Campark & Cabins in a Motorhome.

NRA Whittington Center Campground, Raton, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2007 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

While the NRA Whittington Center is owned by the National Rifle Association, it is open to the general public. You don't need to be an NRA member to camp in this unique campground. Situated on 30,000 acres bisected by the historic Santa Fe Trail, the Center is home to a protected herd of Pronghorns which frequently visit the camp area. Located just three miles Southwest of Raton on US 64 the campsites boast splendid mountain views and prime facilities for any adult interested in shooting sports. Restrooms and showers are large and clean. Level gravel sites. A small cafeteria is located on the property. We camped at NRA Whittington Center Campground in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Sandpipers Resort is a clothing-optional resort located in SW Texas near the Mexican border. The regular rate is $40 with a 50% discount for Passport America members. We paid $20. The park offered extensive grassy areas and paved access to sites. The pool, toilets, and showers were clean and bright. New tennis courts were inviting and well-maintained. Management was helpful and informative. This is a good place to lay up before crossing into Mexico We camped in a Motorhome.
