Whiskey Flats RV Park, Hawthorne, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We were assigned a sand site. Most of the sites are concrete pads. The roads are wide and asphalt. We had no problem getting into and out of site. Everything was well kept. We would stay here again. We camped at Whiskey Flats RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Park personnel were friendly, competent, and accommodating. We had no problem getting in and out. We enjoyed the large number of digital TV channels. The facilities are well maintained. The city of Anaheim has a lodging tax. We are repeat customers. We camped at Anaheim RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

We reserved only a couple of days in advance, and we wanted to stay five days. The only site they could give us was a site where we had to pull in forward then back the truck out around the trailer. We love the area and the RV park, so we took the site because we wanted to stay. Next time we will reserve more in advance. The park seemed to be very full at this time. The visitor's center said it was the busiest time for hiking Mt. Whitney. The site was desert sand. The roads are asphalt with room for big rigs. There was a satellite dish taking up room near the utility pedestal. We have heard that if a satellite dish is not in use the dish company does not want it back. The dish can be thrown away. We are repeat customers. We will return. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park has asphalt roads with asphalt one lane sites. There was room to maneuver around the park. The sewer hose had to go over a curb. The grass was irrigated in an otherwise dry prairie. There was no RV park sign along the highway, so we went past the casino to a likely divided road, and we finally saw a sign along that road. The RV park is behind the casino. There is a swimming pool. Supplies are available at the truck stop. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Toutle River RV Resort, Castle Rock, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This park has asphalt roads with gravel one lane sites. Easy to maneuver off I-5 and in and out of site. Our site had a low spot that lifted a tire with our leveler jacks. The park has a lot of facilities available for activities. There is a tent area too. There is no cable TV. Over the air TV was there, but sketchy. The stations were far off. They charged us $10 per day extra for additional vehicle. We camped at Toutle River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clio's Rivers Edge RV Park, Clio, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Entry into the park is fine, but be aware that you cross a one lane bridge over Sulfur Creek within a few hundred feet. Entire park is covered with pea gravel which gives a nice look and feel. The park is well manicured. Roads are nicely paved. Maneuvering is fine, but one picnic table was a little close. Clio trestle is one mile away, but did not notice any train noise during sleeping hours. We booked online with no problem, but we did not get the exact days we wanted. We paid extra for two dogs and extra vehicle for our one week stay. Dog bag dispensers are available. Cable TV is standard definition. Wi-Fi was good. We will be back. We camped at Clio's Rivers Edge RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Vineyard RV Park, Vacaville, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for a week at a back in site. In that area the roads were gravel, and our site was gravel. During the rain, the gravel was so thin that our site was mostly mud. The roads are paved in some of the park, and the roads are wide for maneuverability. All sites are gravel. The cable was a combination of SD and HD channels. Several of the HD channels pixelated a lot. Numerous trees and grass. The park had a rural feel even though development from Vacaville is a couple of miles away. Fairly close to Sacramento, Davis, and Oakland. We camped at Vineyard RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California

The sites were sand, lined by boulders. Our site was level, but some are not. Maneuvering was good for big rig. Concrete patio with BBQ and table. Cable was Standard Definition with about 10 channels WI-FI worked ok. Pool looked nice. It was kept covered at night. Small store onsite with convenience items. Coffee and muffins served in the morning. We will be back. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The last time we were here we could not use the digital cable. This time we had High Definition digital capability and the cable was wonderful. Maneuvering in the park is good after calming your nerves from the freeways. Everything worked fine on the cement pad. Tengointernet was no problem. It is best to have a reservation. Bigger parks are needed in this area due to demand. We had a weekly rate. We will return. We camped at Anaheim RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Placerville KOA, Shingle Springs, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Maneuvering was not good for big rig. Bushes hit side of rig on narrow road. Had to back out of our site because of large oak branches blocking forward right turn. Utilities a mess surrounded by needless railroad ties that were just in the way. The Park became very busy on the week end. Wi fi non existent. The mother lode environment was nice, but it quickly becomes just dusty with burrs. We will not return. We camped at Placerville KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Far Horizons 49er Village RV Resort, Plymouth, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

Backing into our site was a little difficult because of transformer and street light next to road. Otherwise maneuvering was OK for big rig. Most of the asphalt sites are back in. Shade trees covered the park, and they were trimmed. We stayed for a week, and we arrived at the beginning of the week. The park became almost full over the week end with families. It had a lot of cable channels including Comcast Sports Net for watching regional major league teams. Tengointernet wi fi was OK. We will be back. We camped at Far Horizons 49er Village RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Flag City RV Resort, Lodi, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00

Easy off and on I 5. The area is a truck stop location with a variety of franchisees. The park has modern facilities and is big rig friendly with paved roads and concrete pads just wide enough for rigs. We were here when the park was new, and the landscaping has deteriorated. Be careful at the registration building; the canopy is less than 14 feet. There is road space to the side. Staff was friendly and helpful. We arrived near closing time, but they got us situated with no problem even though it was a holiday week end. We got three nights for the price of two. Cable TV had some channels missing. We could not watch the Warriors. The park is very near to the broadcast antennae for the Sacramento area so over the air TV is easily available. We will stay here again. We camped at Flag City RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Blackstone North RV Park, Fresno, California

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

Access and maneuvering is ok. We were on weekly rate. All trees seem to be trimmed out of the way. Site utilities are rustic. Some spots are very wide. When we left we used the alternate road on the south; not the main road. We bottomed out on the rear. The sidewalk is higher than the street. The cable TV and Wi-fi worked ok. We would have liked some sports channels. We would stay here again only because it probably is the "best RV park in the area". We camped at Blackstone North RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
