Tips for other Campers:

Capitol Reef National Park is the main attraction in the area. The town of Torrey has some restaurants and shops, did not visit any. The Gifford House in the National Park sells cinnamon buns & pies baked daily, they are recommended. Hickman Bridge and Cassidy Arch are must see in the NP.

Alderwood RV Express, Mead, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

The park is nice except the width of the spaces are not wide enough for slide-out access or for you to walk around your coach. They advertise 23' wide spaces, drive surface is blacktop 9 - 10' wide but trees and shrubs take up the remainder of the 23' and are overgrown. Our picnic table was falling apart and was adjacent to the neighbors sewer hook-up. We camped at Alderwood RV Express in a Motorhome.

Orchard Hill RV Park, Kelowna, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2014 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent campground with large spacious sites. Sites are lined with trees and shrubs so it's very private and quiet. You are on a vegetable garden farm and their vegetables are great. Very short drive into Kelowna. Reminder this is an adult campground and they do not offer restrooms. We camped at Orchard Hill RV Park in a Motorhome.

Northern Rockies Lodge , Muncho Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: July, 2014 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This location was recommended by a fellow camper and it met all expectations! Resort is located on the lake and all the RV sites have a view of the lake and mountains. Accessing the campground area can be a little tricky with limited space. Site was excellent once we understood the route, work-camper helped us find the way. The lake is a beautiful aqua-green color. Only stayed 1 night but would highly recommend this resort. We camped at Northern Rockies Lodge in a Motorhome.

Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground, Burnaby, British Columbia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Camped in a 40' Motorhome with 3 slides. Very tight sites, Cedar shrubs line the sites and were against one side of rig. Park is located between of Canada Hwy 1 and a busy railroad. Trains are very loud and will shake your rig. Park is well maintained and desk personnel very helpful. Easy access to Vancouver and surrounding area. Nice pool and hot tub. We camped at Burnaby Cariboo RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park, Pendleton, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Good one night stay over location. Restrooms were being renovated and temporary accommodations were minimal! Park was far enough off the Interstate so traffic noise was not a factor. Beautiful mountain scenery. Of course you're next to the Casino if you want to invest some $'s. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Motorhome.

Was given a "Pull-thru" for the one night stay, but could not pull thru due to tree branches hanging low. I was able to back out and go around. Wish the rating system rated the actual campsite and how they accommodate either motorhomes or trailers / 5th wheel. We camped at Lakeside RV and Campground in a Motorhome.

Mountain View RV Park, Boise, Idaho

Manager was great and very helpful. Although the campground borders the freeway noise was not a big factor. Surge Guard protector gave messages that there was electrical problems on periodic bases, talked to the manager but he could not find a problem. Detector did not show problems before arrival and no signs since departing. Well maintained park including bathrooms and showers. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Motorhome.

Portland Fairview RV Park, Fairview, Oregon

Date of Stay: April, 2014 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Manager is rude!! Park has tight turns and pull-thru sites will accommodate a large Motorhome. Space for towed vehicle is along coach and does not leave a lot of room between. I parked my towed vehicle in the vacant space next door so I could access my storage and the manager was not kind. Park is between I-84 and busy railroad tracks. Park is well maintained and office staff and workers are very friendly. We camped at Portland Fairview RV Park in a Motorhome.

Crooked Creek Resort & RV Park, Hill City, South Dakota

We stayed at this park for 3 weeks, 5/23 - 6/13. Cable TV did not work upon arrival and they tried to tell me it was our rig. Got it working intermittently over the 3 weeks. When they worked on it, they never informed you especially when it did not work, you were surprised when you tried to watch TV at night! They finally ran new cable during our last days so I assume the problem was theirs and not my rig, I have plugged in at other parks with no problems. Pool was down for repair the entire stay. Workers were very friendly and helpful. Spaces are long and narrow with trees. After extending slides, our lower compartment doors could not be opened fully do to trees. I was very disappointed that the owners didn't offer some kind of compensation. Hey, throw in a free pancake breakfast ($3.00) to acknowledge their problems and show customer appreciation. We camped at Crooked Creek Resort & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Bryce Canyon Pines, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Older park, I was able to park my 40' Motorhome without a problem, but spaces are not wide. My MH system would NOT acknowledge 50 amp service when plugged in. They worked on it but said it was my system. So we lived with the 30 amps. They have an RV Park, Motel and restaurant. Many of the RV spaces are workers for one of these areas. All the workers were very friendly. The restaurant had good food, especially pies! We camped at Bryce Canyon Pines in a Motorhome.
