This park is two years old. Owner is very nice. It is eighteen miles from Baxter State Park and one mile from Millinocket. Pool, playground, volleyball court, horseshoe pits and a small store with snacks, ice and firewood. On-site canoe outfitter, rafting trips, scenic flights can be booked. We camped at Wilderness Edge Campground in a Motorhome.

Neil E. Michaud Campground, Presque Isle, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2013 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

The owners were wonderful. Our 36' 15 Ton RV got stuck in the grass because of much rainfall & the owner provided crushed rock & pulled us onto the asphalt with his JD Tractor. The bathroom was clean & it is high on a hill for cool breezes & big views. And the moose hang out right across the street down the hill! We camped at Neil E. Michaud Campground in a Motorhome.

Sandy Springs Campground, Stout, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We full time travel in our 36' Class A, so we have stayed in many campgrounds in two years, moving every 3 days. This campground had beautiful river frontage, 6 clean individual toilet/shower rooms, washer/dryer room, 50 amp and great water pressure. The owner is smart, young & very accommodating. He took us and other campers on his pontoon boat for a 4 hour river ride. It was great. Absolutely one of our favorite places because of his hospitality. Good location for RV rallies. Lots of Room. Covered gathering place with picnic tables. Playground. The price was Passport America plus electricity. regular rate $20 plus electricity. We stayed four days. I gave it a 9 rating, because it is a new park and the new trees do not provide shade yet. We camped at Sandy Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area, Taft, California

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived at 5:30pm to a lake front site. The 30amp electric breaker would trip with 15amp usage. The picnic table was so termite eaten that it was unusable. Tree limbs in roadway had to be dodged. Bathrooms were dirty. No lid on septic hole, just two rocks which allowed septic smell to permeate the air close to the kitchen and bedroom windows. I called to report these issues the next morning and was told I would get a call back but never did. They wanted to charge $15 for a car to park at the site for the night or $7 to park for the night at the overflow lot which was far from the site. It seems as though the county isn't taking pride in their park. We camped at Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

North Clifton RV Park, Clifton, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $9.00
Overall Rating:

Absolutely cannot beat the price (Passport America) for this lovely, quiet & beautiful park. We usually only stay three days anywhere, but we extended four more because it is a great park. We bicycled to the quaint town. A few shops, lots of history, good biking along the San Francisco River up into the great hills surrounding the park. Copper mines all around. Good Mexican food and cheap in town. Craft fair/Thursday & Farmers Markets too. Wildlife (big horn sheep and javelina come into park, very early morning or after dark), and lots of birds singing all day. Washers and dryers only $1 each, Showers were clean, and the management nice. We camped at North Clifton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sumas RV Park & Campground, Sumas, Washington

Self check-in with form/envelope. Went to back area where the lots were large pull throughs. Mountains and cornfields surround the park and the train horn blows by day. Nighttime was very quiet. Manager came by on our arrival and was friendly and accommodating. When asked when check-out time was he said "no hurry, anytime" & other parks have been at our door at 11am reminding us even when they wasn't many in their park. We camped at Sumas RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.
