All RV parks should be so well run and taken care of. The price was for the site on the Bay, sites back are less expensive. About a ten minute drive to town. After looking at other parks this looks like the best bet in Gulf Shores!

This is one of the nicest KOA's I've stayed in. Management is very nice and the park is clean and well taken care of!

Date of Stay:

There were no signs on the highway or at the turn onto a gravel road indicating where the KOA was to be found. The park is filled with permanent residents. The dog area had a waste basket about 2 feet deep which was full to the brim.

This place is dirty! When you walk the grounds and enter your travel unit you bring the muck on your feet left from a flood this summer. There is slime and rotting smell hanging over the campground. The pool is FILTHY. I would say they opened too soon after the flood but from previous posts it was bad before and now is only worse. I would suggest avoiding this one!

This is a beautiful spot located right on the Salmon River. The camp host keeps the facilities very clean. Fly fishing right outside your unit's door is terrific. Kayaking or tubing from Stanley to the campground is excellent! Lots of outdoor things to do in a very short drive from the campground.

This is an old park with little shade. My biggest complaint was my site was littered with cigarette butts and messy around the sewer.
