Twelve Oaks RV Park, Lake Charles, Louisiana

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This little park is doing it right. Nice level concrete pads, soft lighting and clean area all the way around. Wonderful staff. Having only been open since February this year, they are going to be a great stop for anyone visiting the Gulf Coast area. All my best to them! We camped at Twelve Oaks RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort, New Braunfels, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

OK maybe a little too family friendly? We wanted nice and quiet after being on the road for many weeks but instead we were two RV's from a very rowdy bunch. 10 pm quiet time but I think they are a little too lenient with that. Other wise, clean, level and close to restaurants and sight seeing. We camped at Hill Country Cottage and RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Meteor Crater RV Park, Winslow, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Overall a nice clean park. Level lots. But with Camp Club membership you may get a nice price but no sewer hookups. Suite style restrooms with shower (nice and large). Friendly staff and nice common room but, if you're wanting to watch TV here (antenna use was sketchy at best) and it's night, bring a flash-light. Very dark and no outside lights allowed on. I can understand having low or dim lights, but none?? I tripped twice getting back to the fifth wheel which by the way, was at a back site again because of the discount. Light it up: just a little?? We camped at Meteor Crater RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Our first time in New Mexico and we picked the best spot. Close to I-40 so getting anywhere was a breeze: especially the Balloon Fiesta. A little pricey but that was fiesta price. Actually lower than anywhere else at the time. Large gravel area, clean and really nice staff. Coming back from AZ we stopped again but with no special event, the price was $10.00 a night with Coast to Coast. Loved this park! Thanks so much. We camped at Enchanted Trails RV Park & Trading Post in a Fifth Wheel.

Verde River RV Resort & Cottages , Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

OK other than the fact that we couldn't get our bike out of the toy hauler: not too terribly bad. The RV's are back to back so we were not able to unload the bike without doing so before we parked. Fairly level and clean. Not the best area, too far from anything to enjoy. Wi-Fi was iffy at best and without satellite, there was no TV. We camped at Verde River RV Resort & Cottages in a Fifth Wheel.

Roaring Springs Ranch Club, Roaring Springs, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Really off the beaten path but worth it if that's what you want. Very much "in the woods" but so quiet and peaceful. We were the only ones for the first night being off season so we had the run of the place so to speak. Lot was hard packed and fairly level. Beautiful pool area that's spring fed. Even as far out as it was we were still able to pick up TV through the antenna. Just be home before dark because dirt and gravel roads are kind of tricky on a bike! We camped at Roaring Springs Ranch Club in a Fifth Wheel.

Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort, Gladewater, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $15.00

Overall this park is really nice, that is if you can get in and out without dragging bottom! The entry and exits are very steep and with a shallow bottom: we lost our back stabilizer jack. So be very careful! We camped at Shallow Creek Golf & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

The minute we pulled up the staff was there to help. Very friendly owner and staff. We were in the area for the Honda Wing Ding and the best part of the whole experience was staying at this park! Shady and quiet, anything we needed they were ready to help with. We will be back. We camped at Volunteer Park Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
