Friendly staff. Sites are level concrete with asphalt aprons. Roads within the park are good. This park unquestionably has the cleanest restrooms and showers we have ever seen. Electric service and water pressure is good. 74 cable TV channels. The negatives are that the areas between many of the sites are on a slant so grilling and eating on the picnic table are a challenge. The grass around the sites had not been mowed anytime recently making it hard to see the fire ant mounds and the chiggers we biting everything in sight. This park would easily be a '9' if the owners would put reasonable effort into ground maintenance and insect control.

The owners of this park have tried to re-define the meaning to the term “Resort” but this park is anything but. As soon as we had checked in and were led onto the property we felt that this was one of the less nicer places we have ever stayed at. It is a concrete jungle with no trees or shrubbery to speak of, and they pack the RVs in like they were sardines. The far majority of the rigs were either travel trailers or 5th wheels with less than a handful of Class A's. When we were led to our sight, the staff member guiding us never got out of his golf cart until the back of our rig came into contact with a truck parked along the drive. Although I accept responsibility for having ultimate control, I thought it was the staff members’ job to get us into the site safely, a bad assumption on my part! I guess the staffer's only job was to help me read the big bold numbers for the sites so I parked in the right one. All he could say was that it could have been a lot worse, and his coworker who arrived a few minutes later was heard to say that maybe I needed a smaller RV. This is a place where the majority of campers park and flock here on weekends leaving their rig unattended during the week. Obviously some of the residents are permanent, contrary to the web site, which seems lacking. The beach is a very long walk, difficult if you have small kids and are toting typical beach stuff. If you love ants, this is the place for you. On the plus side, the pools and the laundry areas are very clean and the bags of ice reasonably priced. The office staff was very professional but not friendly, making me realize their focus is solely on the $$ and not on customer satisfaction. We left a day early. We will not return here.

This is our 3rd time at this KOA park and each time it seems to get better. On our 1st visit, we were placed towards the very front of the park and heard a beeping noise on and off most of the night. In making subsequent reservations, the park staff noted our comments and placed us a little further back on the 2 subsequent occasions, commenting on why they were doing so. The staff has always been very nice, and they clearly really care about their campers. The facilities are always very clean and well maintained including the pool, the children’s play area, the laundry room, and the showers. Sites are level with plenty of trees and reasonably spaced. There is always a good mix of types of RVs, and those that seem to be semi-permanent are in good condition. The only concerns were that the Wi-Fi was unreliable, and the price for a bag of ice is double what it is in most other camp grounds, but there are other ice outlets close by. We will definitely stay here for all of our San Antonio trips. Price reflects KOA member discount.

This is in a very beautiful area. The focus of the park centers around summer-time river recreation with mostly tent camping and a couple dozen RV sites. The RV sites are gravel and level, but fairly close together with a fire pit in-between. The sewer connection was away from the fresh water connection, which we appreciate, but even with our wheels at the end of the pad we needed every bit of a 15ft sewer hose and a 5ft extension. Being in a valley, TV reception was limited to a handful of channels. Wi-Fi was undependable at best. The bathroom/shower were unpainted concrete block walls on the inside and the laundry room was restricted to long term full timers. The staff was not nearly as friendly as in other parks we have stayed at and we felt that they catered more to long term campers. Again, a very beautiful area, but we will not stay here again.

We were very pleased with this park. Park is only a few years old. Sites are spacious, concrete and level. Facilities are modern and well maintained. We did not have any noise issues with I-35 traffic mentioned in other reviews and we feel the highway is far enough away that for us it was not a noise concern for us. The RV park staff was very friendly. Rates are very reasonable. First timers getting a casino players' card get the first night of camping free and a $5 discount every day thereafter. We never had to wait very long for the casino shuttle. Not much shade yet, but the trees are in and it will really be nice in a few years. We will definitely stay here often.

We were very happy with this campground. All of the sites are very level, plenty of space between sites, a very nice view of the lake and very much big rig friendly. Very peaceful surroundings with plenty of open room for kids to play. We will be back here often.

We tried this park on the recommendation of a friend. It has the makings of a nice park, but the owner has purchased and is storing many used FEMA trailers for refurbishing and resale. Many of the spots had two used trailers crowded in them. This detracted from the potential beauty of the park and we feel we did not get our value for the money.

Nice area but this is an older campground with only 30 amp service. Very few level sites and more suitable for tent camping. This park's sister site is more suitable to RVs.
