Petersburg COE, Appling, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We stay here at least twice a year, and love it each time. The lake is low, because of the drought,so fishing is kind of slow. Great place to go boating. Most of the campsites are shaded, and well maintained. We camped at Petersburg COE in a Motorhome.

Fort Clinch State Park, Fernandina Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2007 - $22.00

Big rigs can get into the River Campground, but, are better suited in the Atlantic Campground. The restroom/showers were new and excellent. It rained each day we were there, but, only for a short time. It is a great place to ride bikes. We would definitely return. We camped at Fort Clinch State Park in a Motorhome.

Indian Mountain State Park, Jellico, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This park is a well-kept secret by the citizens of Jellico. I think they like to keep it for themselves. We found it when we had a mishap with our tow dolly and had to stay somewhere while waiting to get it repaired. It is a very nice, friendly park. The sites are large, clean, and well maintained. The people are friendly and will help with anything you need help with. We stay every time we travel near it. We camped at Indian Mountain State Park in a Motorhome.

Fox Ridge State Park, Charleston, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were large and shady. The camphost was very friendly and knowledgeable. There was only one pull-thru in the campground. Restrooms were very clean. The campground is 11 miles ffrom the interstate, but, worth the extra drive to stay there. It is a very family oriented State Park. We camped at Fox Ridge State Park in a Motorhome.

Wall Doxey State Park, Holly Springs, Mississippi

Date of Stay: May, 2006 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was rude and very unhelpful. They seemed to not really care about our needs. We camped there on an overnight stay while passing through the state on our way home to Georgia from Michigan. Overall the campground was nice. The roads were narrow. Some of the sites were small and crowded. We think the sites were color coded for rig access, but, we did not get any help from the staff working there. It seemed to be a nice place for family stays. There was a big lake. We camped at Wall Doxey State Park in a Motorhome.

Petersburg COE, Appling, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite campground. Mainly because it is near one of our grandbabies. But, also, it is clean, has large sites, is on the lake, and is well maintained. We stay there usually twice a year and really enjoy it. We camped at Petersburg COE in a Motorhome.

Camp Creek State Park, Camp Creek, West Virginia

Date of Stay: July, 2005 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

The park was really secluded, which we liked. We were on an extended trip and just happened upon this park by accident. The sites only had electrical hookups, but they were shaded and had lots of room. We would stay there again. We camped at Camp Creek State Park in a Motorhome.
