Northern Nights RV Campground, Glennallen, Alaska

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This campground has the potential to be fantastic. The sites are spaced and treed nicely. Even though we stayed in mid Sept and there were few people there, we still had to wait to shower ($3 each), since there were only 2 shower stalls. Also, the porta-potties were some of the fullest I've ever seen. Finally, the customer service was terrible. The owner (?) was talking to construction workers outside of the office when we showed up but wouldn't acknowledge us. After 15 minutes, we were ready to leave, but a worker finally showed up. Gave no info about the CG (maybe we're used to KOA's where you're inundated) and checked us in. We camped at Northern Nights RV Campground in a Tent.

Triple G Hideaway, Fort Nelson, British Columbia

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We were a little upset to pay $24 for a tent site with pay showers. Yes, most CG's in Canada have pay showers but they usually have tables and firepits for each tent site. There were 3 tables and 3 firepits for 10-12 tent sites. My biggest complaint is that the entire back area sites and especially the tent sites smelled of sewage!! By the morning, I was convinced that we might be actually camping on top of a leach bed. We camped at Triple G Hideaway in a Tent.
