Burlington / Anacortes KOA, Burlington, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

There are two sections to this park. We only needed 30 amp and were put in the older section which, unlike the new section, has trees and shade but also has very close sites that are a mixture of gravel and dirt with brown/green grass. The water and sewer were fine but the power was poor. If we used the AC or microwave, we needed to run the hot water tank and refrig on propane. If two draw items were used, i.e. hot water and microwave, etc., the voltage dipped into the red, well below 110. The park was far from full, but we were placed next to a long term tenant while there were 4 empty sites on the other side of us. We would stay again if we had to, but we would bite the bullet and stay in the 30/50 amp sites and pay the extra. We camped at Burlington / Anacortes KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Howard Miller Steelhead County Park, Rockport, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have camped many times at this great county park. Most of the sites are well spaced and the water and electric service is good. The roads are paved and the sites are paved or gravel. The nights are dark and quite and the staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing missing is sewer hookups, but there is a dump. The rate is $30 plus a $7 registration fee. We camped at Howard Miller Steelhead County Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Concrete has a new excellent bakery that serves breakfast and lunch and baked goods. What a find in the area. A visit to 5b's Bakery is worth the trip. There is no fuel or store in Rockport, so get what you need in Concrete.

Kaibab CampeRVillage, Jacob Lake, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Location, location. location. This is a woodsy RV park with the only full hookup sites near the North Rim. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The sites were uneven, dirt or gravel and dusty due to an adjoining gravel forest road. I would have rated this campground a 7, but the electric power at our site was very poor. Even using propane for our refrig and hot water the power usually was 105-110 volts. Mid day it was higher, but immediately fell if any appliance was turned on. We camped at Kaibab CampeRVillage in a Fifth Wheel.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was friendly and helpful. We needed to extend a couple of days due to truck problems and they had had a cancellation and managed to extend us without moving us. The park is clean and well cared for. Our site was near the road and therefore traffic noise was bothersome. In this area is is location, location, location and this park was by far the best we saw in the area. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Zion and not just the crowded Zion Canyon - be sure to take the drive to the other areas. St. George is a historic and interesting town with an excellent RAM dealer/service.

Golden Spike RV Park, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third stay at this park and there have been some changes since our last stay. Many of the trees have been cut down. This may account for the increased level of road noise from the adjoining road. Otherwise, not much has changed. Due to the road noise, we may look elsewhere next time. We camped at Golden Spike RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

RV Resort Four Seasons, Walla Walla, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We think this is the best choice in Walla Walla. This park is clean and well cared for. The spaces are quite narrow, but there is grass in between and a thin bench/table as there is not room for a full-size picnic table. When we were there most all of the pull-through spaces were open, but we were sandwiched in between two other up front near the road. Spaces further away from the road all stayed empty for the two days we were there. We camped at RV Resort Four Seasons in a Fifth Wheel.

Ambassador RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

This park gets it right. Off the freeway and quiet. Very clean and well kept up with wide streets and long pull through spaces with patio and grass in between. The personnel are wonderful and helpful. This is our go-to park in the area and will continue to be. We camped at Ambassador RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar City KOA, Cedar City, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We got into a wind storm and needed to get off the freeway and happily found this park. A back in site was available and we checked in at 8:30 AM. The park is well off the freeway so noise is not an issue. All the streets are wide and backing into a site was easy. The place was very clean with good electric power and water pressure. The desk staff was very accommodating. We will stay here again when in the area. We camped at Cedar City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Taos Monte Bello RV Park, Taos, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00

This is not a resort and there is no pool, but the campground is great. The owners are wonderful and maintain a very clean roomy RV park that is out of town with wonderful views of the distant mountains and sunsets. We have stayed here before and will again. We camped at Taos Monte Bello RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

This was a good place to stay while visiting Carlsbad Caverns and Guadalupe Mountains National Parks. It was further than a campground in White's City, but after driving through that campground we were glad we choose to drive the extra distance. Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park, Dolores, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park on the Dolores River 25 miles upriver from Dolores, Colorado. The park is in two sections, one on the highway side and the other across the river. We were across the river in a back-in site that was shaded and wide. The utilities were fine. The staff was excellent including the staff member who guided us to our site and skillfully guided me into it - it would have been difficult without his help. The park is quiet at night and dark. We camped at Priest Gulch Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Blue Cut RV Park, Helper, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This was a midpoint overnight stay and what made the place a good stop was the service by the owner and the location. The owner teaches school and therefore there may be a delay in her returning phone calls, but she is very attentive. The park is primarily a permanent/worker park whit a number of older units, but it was quiet and we felt very safe. We camped at Blue Cut RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
