A+ Motel & RV Park, Sulphur, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We just stopped for an overnight but we'll come back for several days for rest and relaxation. This is a very clean and new park. A lot of thought went into building this park. There's plenty of room between sites, plenty of room to walk and to walk your dog. There's a gym, fishing lake, gazebo and even a small motel so you don't have to have your relatives sleeping in your rig! ;) For overnights we usually go for a cheaper place but I'm glad we didn't this time. $35 is more than reasonable for what this place has to offer. Easy to use our rooftop satellite dish, although they have cable. We've been gone for 2 months and this is the BEST wifi we've had...just like home. Give it a try. We camped at A+ Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lake Charles isn't far away to gamble or whatever. There's a nice restaurant down the street, Le Bleu's. Family Dollar close by. There's a 24 hour WalMart Supercenter on the north side of I-10 along with some other grocery stores not far from the park.

Magnolia Forest RV Park, Magnolia, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a brand new RV Park. It is a gated, nice, peaceful park. There are some full timers there but they are not junky. There is a nice place to walk your dog and it has a little lake. The park is a work in progress. The bath house/rec room isn't finished yet. They are also putting in some pull through sites. It is very wooded. Their nightly rate is $45-$60 which I think is a little pricey for the area but it is a very nice place. We camped at Magnolia Forest RV Park in a Motorhome.

Four Seasons RV Resort, Gold Beach, Oregon

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, good electric, Wi-Fi, water pressure, and not too many obstructions for our satellite TV to work. If you're wanting to spend time on the river chilling out or fishing, it's great. It is NOT an overnight kind of place. It's only 5+ miles off US 101 but the roads are extremely narrow and very windy. It's tight getting into sites but it's doable. They micro manage every aspect of getting into your site and where to park your car, including how many blades of grass are acceptable to park on and how many are not acceptable. Drove me crazy. They knew we were just looking for an overnight when I called the night before. Wish they'd told us there were lots of parks on 101 that would be more conducive to our needs. Guess that's part of what one gets when we have to make choices online. We camped at Four Seasons RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cinderella Motel & Campsite, Grand Island, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Rate reflects PA. $5 extra for 50 amp. Sites are close together but it has a nice, hard level pad..crushed asphalt or something similar. Our site was close to the street so you could hear road noise but that doesn't really bother us. Nothing fancy here but certainly met our needs. We camped at Cinderella Motel & Campsite in a Motorhome.

Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this park. It was fairly convenient to get to and the people were friendly and helpful. It wasn't hard to level the RV. Electric was strong. WiFi worked well. Cable was good. Rate is a PA discount. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the laundry. There are a total of 4 washers and 4 dryers, but they're split up 2 & 2 in two different locations. Maybe that's a plus to some people but I had 4 loads and didn't want to go to two different locations or spend 3 hours doing laundry. I found a laundromat nearby so I could get it all done at once. We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Frosty Acres Camping Resort, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2011 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Rate is Passport America. We read the reviews and decided to give it a try anyway. We're pretty tolerant people. Bad choice. It had rained recently and our site was squishy. Levelers buried in mud. The site was very sloped. The park was difficult to get to. The GPS sent us through a 10' tunnel. Be sure to follow the directions in the Passport America book if you choose to go. It really isn't a park to go to for an overnight or two. Maybe it's great for seasonals but they weren't all that friendly. It is a beautiful setting: it's claim to fame. There were a lot of workers but none of them seemed to be interested in helping us get into our site. We made it into the spot fine but it just seemed strange. It's not like they were busy with other customers. Would not recommend. We camped at Frosty Acres Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
